2012: Team Previews: The Carlsbad Cavemen went 8-3 in the 2011 season just missing back to back district titles under long time Head Coach Ron Arrington. Last year the Cavemen started out 7-2 beating Mayfield and Artesia for the first time in what seemed like forever, but a rocky ending left the Cavemen losing their last two out of three games including a 17-7 home loss against La Cueva in the quarterfinals of the play-offs..
