Week Three Thursday Night Recap

La Cueva 35, Highland 7
Thursday Night High School Football featured the La Cueva Bears taking on the Highland Hornets and it was no contest as the Bears moved to 3-0 on the season with a four touchdown victory. Thanks to impressive play from RB Michael Rose, QB Zach Silva, WR Chris Thompson, DL Calvin Allen, and LB Chris Loidolt, the Bears move to 3-0 on the season and will take on Rio Grande in week four. The Bear's offense has been rolling this season as the Bears are averaging 35.6 points per game. Highland drops to 0-3 having three losses come against Rio Rancho, Clovis, and La Cueva. The Hornet's defense is allowing 52 points per game. Highland takes on Cibola in week four. Premium Highlights Here

Eldorado 50, Albuquerque 0
The Eldorado Eagles had to wait three weeks for their win of the 2012 season and it came in mercy rule fashion as the Eagles rolled past Albuquerque with ease. Thanks to 100-yards rushing from George Pacheco in the first half the Eagles were able to control the the momentum. WR Jonah Mestas, DL Dez Ravenal, LB Patrick Garcia, and DB Aaron Herrera continue to play big for the Eagles. Eldorado will take on Valley in week four. As for the Bulldogs they have not won a game since the 2010 season and are a combined 0-12 under second year coach Michael Zufall. Their defense is allowing 48.3 points per game. Next up is an open week, followed by Del Norte in week five.
