Las Cruces 42, La Cueva 21| Highlights Here
The La Cueva Bears faced off against the Las Cruces Bulldawgs on friday night as the Unbeaten Bears went down to Las Cruces to do battle with one of their toughest tests of the year in the hosting Las Cruces Bulldawgs. The Bulldawgs proved that they are still vying for a spot at the top of the ranks in class 5A with an impressive victory over an Unbeaten La Cueva team. Offensively the Bullwags seemed to have it going all night as they were led by Senior Quarterback Jonathan Joy who finished 14-20 for 235 yards and 3 TD's. Also pitching in for the Bulldawgs was JJ Grenados who had 3 touchdowns on the night as well, Grenados finished with 68 yards rushing on the night. The Bears suffer defeat for the first time this season as they now fall to 4-1 and will make some adjustments in week 6 as they have a bye feek. The Bulldawgs are now 3-1 and face off against Artesia in week 6 in Artesia.?
Rio Rancho 42, Clovis 33
Rio Rancho played the roll of visitor on friday night as they faced off against the Clovis Wildcats in Clovis New Mexico. The Rio Rancho Rams got their first ever school victory in Clovis on friday night following a very productive night offensively as they were able gain 440 yards offensively. Rio Rancho was lead by Easton Bruere who had a big night on 19-25 passing and 4 touchdowns, also contributing was Ulyises Astorga who rushed for 132 yards, on 17 carries and also had 3 rushing TD's. Clovis now 2-3 once again was dependent upon the legs of Kamal Cass who lead the way offensively with 130 yards rushing, but also helping out in the backfield for the Wildcats was Marcos Trujillo who had 106 yards rushing and one touchdown. Clovis will face off against Goddard in week 6.
Volcano Vista 39, Onate 21
The Volcano Vista Hawks hosted the Onate Knights on Friday night as the two teams were battling it out as pride was on the line as well as a chance for Onate and Volcano Vista? to go above the .500 mark. The Hawks were able to put up solid points on the board due to some big plays all night long. Volcano Vista is now 2-2 and will face off against Mayfield in week 6. Onate will face off against West Mesa in week 6 at home.?

Goddard 55, Hobbs 0
The Goddard Rockets moved to 4-0 on the season with a dominating victory over Hobbs Friday Night at Watson Memorial Stadium. With no Cody French this week, the Rocket's starting running back the Goddard Running Back still did work thanks to a combined effort from Mike Garcia, Dean McDaniel and Atnhony Orenelas. The trio racked up more than 200-yards rushing on the night and four scores. McDaniel scored on a 45-yard touchdown run, Garcia scored on a 50-yard and 72-yard touchdown run, and Ornelas scored on a 40-yard touchdown run on the night. The Goddard Rockets take on Clovis next week.
Roswell 41, Santa Teresa 14
The Roswell Coyotes won their third game of the year against Santa Teresa Friday Night at the Wool Bowl to move to 3-2 on the season. Roswell was led by Quarterback Stepehn Lucero who scored three total touchdowns on the night. Santa Teresa was without their starting quarterback AJ Sedillo for unknown reasons, Sedillo has over 1,000 all purpose yards this season. The Coyotes take on Gadsden who is also 3-2 in week six.

Artesia 44, Carlsbad 41 | Highlights Here
The Artesia Bulldogs moved to 5-0 on the season after defeating their rival Carlsbad Friday Night thanks to a 454-yard and six touchdown performance from Artesia Quarterback Trevor Eulenbach. Eulenbach threw a 65-yard touchdown in the opening minutes of the game to Miguel Rodriguez to start out the shootout and then it was back and fourth until the Cavemen pulled ahead 41-31 thanks to a 15-yard touchdown from Carlsbad's Kain Fierro. As the game looked out of reach, Artesia rallied back when Eulenbach hit Zane Pittam for a 53-yard touchdown pass to make it 41-38 late in the game. Artesia's defense would force a late three and out and that is when Eulenbach would find Donovan Orosco for the game winning 26-yard touchdown pass with just minutes left. The Cavemen had one last opportunity to either tie or win the game, but a Aldo Rayos interception sealed the deal for the Bulldogs. Artesia is now 5-0 and will host the 3-1 Las Cruces Bulldawgs in week six.

Manzano 47, Aztec 20 | Highlights Here
Week 5 of the New Mexico High School Prep Football Season featured a battle beween the visisting Aztec Tigers and the the Hosting Manzano Monarchs. The Manzano Monarchs were able to run away with this game thanks to stiffling defense wihich lead to 4 Aztec turnovers and a smash mouth offense that managed to put 47 points on the board. Coach Adcox has his program right where they need to be as the district season looms near. Aztec still has a ways to go if they want to compete for a district tittle in 2012. The Monarchs improve to 4-1 on the season and are averaging 32.8 points per game and the defense is allowing 25.25 points per game. Aztec drops to 1-3 on the year and are giving up 45 points per game following the loss on Friday Night. Offensively the Monarchs were lead by Angel Gonzalez and Cory Morrow combining for 325 yards of offense on the night. Defensively leading the Monarchs was Derek Debuck and Gunnar Paulson.?

Farmington 21, Valencia 10
The visiting Valencia Jaguars and the hosting Farmington Scorpions did battle on Friday night in Farmington New Mexico, the Scorpions would walk away victorious and a achieve a 3-2 record as they keept the Valencia Jaguars in the winless column. The Scorpions were lead offensively by their backfield which consists of Essiel Carrasco and Brian Farley who had a touchdown a piece, also helping out offensively was Kyle Reynolds. The Scorpions play St. Pius X in week 6 and should be a great test for Farmington. Valencia's woes continue to mount as they are now 0-5 on the season and are allowing 30.8 points per game while only scoring 10.8 points per game, Valencia is idle in week 6.? ?

Belen 46, Los Alamos 15
Friday Night saw a matchup between two teams headed in opposite directions, as the Visiting Belen Eagles took the field against the hosting Los Alamos Hilltoppers. The Eagles move to 4-1 on the season and are now averaging 29.8 points per game and their stingy defense is only allowing 17.8 points per game. The Eagles are open in week six but face off against Los Lunas in week 7. Los Alamos is now 2-3 on the season and although they have a loosing record they still have the winningest record in their division. Los alamos will face off against Academy in week 6.?

St. Michael's 55, Santa Fe 0
The St. Michael's Horsemen moved to 5-0 after another lopsided victory over City Rival Santa Fe Friday Night in front of 2,000 fans. Quarterback Cory Serna threw for 265-yards, six touchdowns, which according to the Santa Fe New Mexican is a new St. Michael's school record. Solomon Martinez ran for 111-yards and two touchdowns and as a whole the Horsemen had 423-yards of offense. The Horsemen will take on 0-4 Capital in week six.

Tularosa 50, Loving 0
The Tularosa Wildcats defeated the Loving Falcons by 50 Friday Night to move to 4-1 on the season. The Wildcats racked up close to 400 yards of total offense and were led b Max Fagan who ran for 115-yards and two touchdowns. Tularosa Quarterback Jared Rocha ran for 10-yards and two touchdowns on the night as well.
