Here is a quick recap at Saturday's Games. Friday Recap/Game Stories Here

Sandia 28, Cleveland 7 | Video Highlights Here
On Saturday the Sandia Matadors played host to the Cleveland Storm, in what was a "must win" type of game for both teams. Cleveland drops to 3-3 on the year following Saturdays somewhat lopsided loss. The Cleveland Storm looked a little sluggish running the ball except on a 60+ yard rushing touchdown by Romell Jordan, other then that the Cleveland rushing attack was contained very well by the much bigger and more physical Sandia defense. Cleveland is now 3-3 and will play down in Hobbs in week 8. Sandia got a hard fought victory and move to 5-1 on the year, offensively the Matadors scored off of a 1 yard QB sneak by Craig Coffman, a Interception Returned for a Touchdown by Julian Pe?and two touchdown passes, one by QB Craig Coffman to Camrron Bean and and another score late in the game on a 4th down fake field goal, from Aaron Smith to tyler Ireland for the final blow. Sandia will face off against Clovis in week 8 and then dips into district play with a game against Eldorado in week 9.

La Cueva 37, Cibola 17
La Cueva continues their metro area dominance with another win over Cibola on Saturday. Although the Bears have been without star running back Michael Rose they have still had success on the season as they improve to 5-1 on the year with note worthy wins over, Cleveland, Valley, and Highland. Saturday the Bears saw the return of Rose and the return of some electrifying offense. The Cibola Cougars are now 1-5 on the year and will face off against the Manzano Monarchs in week 8. La Cueva was lead offensively by Zach Silva, Michael Rose, and Chris Thompson. The Bears will face off against Carlsbad in week 8.

St. Michael's 58, NMMI 7
The St. Michael's Horsemen moved to 7-0 on the season thanks to a huge day from Junior Running Back Isaiah Dominguez who ran for 227-yards and four touchdowns. The Horsemen have now beaten their last five opponents by a combined 264-12. Their schedule as of late has been very light as their last three large wins come against teams that are a combined 2-17. The Horsemen are idle in week eight before their trip to Silver City in week nine for what already looks like the game of the week.

Hobbs 16, Lovington 14
Due to tons of rain and lightning on Friday Night the Lea County Rivalry Game was schedule to finish on Saturday. The Eagles who trailed 6-0 early jumped back on the board after an 11-yard touchdown play. Just before half, Hobbs Quarterback Brayden Price who Steven Olivas for a touchdown pass to make it 16-6 at the half. The Eagles are now 2-5 this year and will take on Cleveland next weekend. The Lovington Wildcats are now 2-4 and will take on Goddard.
