WEEK 9: TEAM OF THE WEEK		OVERALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Team: Sandia Matadors The Sandia Matadors now 6-2 on the season and recent winner of a top tier battle between two top teams in district 2-5A as they rolled over Manzano in week 9. The Matadors earned a very crucial district win on the night, Sandia was powered by their outstanding offensive unit thanks to efforts from Craig Coffman, and the balenced rushing attack of the Sandia Matadors, who is lead on the offensive line by Jeremiah Thompson, Ryan Scarlet and on the ground by Aaron Smith and Daniel Cones. Also helping out was Brenden Barker who is also a State Farm metro Player of the Week who had a huge game offensively.		Michael Rose - La Cueva La Cueva's Michael Rose has been tremendous on the year and each week he continues to prove that he is one of the top running backs in the State of New Mexico. This past weekend against Eldorado he ran for 280-yards in a 35-27 victory over the Eagles. On the season Rose is inching towards the 1,000-yard mark as the the Bears continue their impressive season run at 7-1. This weekend La Cueva takes on Manzano in another District 2-5A marquee match up.
SMALL SCHOOL PLAYER OF THE WEEK		NORTHERN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Reynaldo Atencio - Escalante The Escalante Lobos at 8-0 this year ran past Questa last week in a key district win thanks to an impressive night from Quarterback Reynaldo Atencio who ran for 365-yards off 45 carries. The Lobos take on McCurdy this Friday Night in a marquee Class 1A match up. If the Lobos win, they'll likely land the number one overall seed in the 1A play-offs.		Zach Hurd - Tucumcari The Rattlers earned a key district win against Clayton and had three running backs run of over 100-yards on the night. Zach Hurd, a senior at Tucumcari ran for 193-yards and two touchdowns against Clayton. Hurd has been Tucumcari's top running back all season long and continues to impress weekly.
METRO AREA PLAYER OF THE WEEK		SOUTHWEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brenden Barker - Sandia On the season, one receiver that has been on point literally each week of the season has been Sandia Senior Brenden Barker. A two player also playing defensive back, Barker recored an interception and hauled in 169-yards with two touchdowns from Quarterback Craig Coffman as the Matadors rolled to a 34-14 win over Manzano. Sandia is 6-2 on the season and just two points away from being 8-0 this year. Eldorado is next. Read more on Barker Here		Marcus Inglemon - Mayfield Senior Running back Marcus Inglemon and the Trojans dominated the Onate Knights last weekend winning 48-0. The Trojans had over 400-yards of total offense and it was Inglemon who had a standout day both catching and rushing the football for a total of four touchdowns. Mayfield is now 5-3 this year and will take on Alamogordo in week 10.

Trevor Eulenbach - Artesia Each year, Artesia is going to put up numbers, we all know that. However the numbers that Artesia Quarterback Trevor Eulenbach continues to produce are staggering as the offense is scoring over 56.0 points per game. Last weekend against Roswell Eulenbach threw for 341-yards and three touchdowns. Shout out to Miguel Rodriguez who caught for 170-yards and two touchdowns on the night. Artesia at 7-1 takes on 7-0 Goddard this weekend.		?
