The Cougars play in a marquee match up this weekend against La Cueva in week 7 (Open this Week) and if they want to continue to be ranked within the top 10, they need to win this game convincingly. No. 12 Atrisco Heritage - Have a great opportunity to make a statement this weekend as they head to Rio Rancho. The Jags are coming off wins over Centennial, Gallup, and Valencia. Watch for the Deming backfield: Quarterback David Padron, Running Back Ish Garrett, and Jerome Sandoval.
No. 17 St. Michael's - The Horsemen are the one of two 3A teams ranked in the top 20 and for good reason. In their last two games they have outscored opponents 100-0. Last weekend Running Back Daniel Ortega ran for 244-yards and 4 touchdowns. This week they take on winless Capital.
