I had DJ with 20. Pandemonium at the end of the game with a Clovis parent coming on the floor after an AHS player with 30 seconds left in the game. AHS had to clear the bench to finish the game. Then the AHS fans could not leave the gym because there was no security and several Clovis students yelling at the fans in the gym and lobby. (To be fair, several AHS fans were yelling back.). Always a shame when poor referees affect a game, and even worse when adults and non-players forget that these are just teenagers playing a game. Side note: Dawson is the real deal.

The "Parent" was a 5'6" sister of one of the players that an AHS player left the bench to go "defend himself."

That "sister" from the Clovis-AHS game was identified to me as a player's mother by the Clovis fans who also identified her as someone who had caused problems before. The 3 or 4 year old child that she took on the Court with her leads me to believe that she was a mother. (I purposely am leaving her name out of this to protect the young man.) Regardless, whether she was a parent or a sister really is not the point. The real point is that she was on the floor while the game was still going, and there was no security in the building. Perhaps the bigger point again is that all of us need to remember that these are teenagers and we need to protect the players and the game from abusive fans.

AHS fans didn't leave the gym because we were waiting for the team to come out of the lockerroom, not due to lack of security and screaming fans. Once we found out the players we going from the lockerroom to the bus, we left the gym as a group. The main reason for waiting in the gum was to assure the safety of the players. The situation wasn't as critical as reported. What actually should have happened was Clovis should have been assessed a technical foul for the fan running on court, but the officials just didn't make the call. Maybe the were afraid of how the fans would've reacted but it would have been the right call. If at some point you don't make the fans realize that their actions could cost their team a game, the fans will continue to behave the way they do or worse.
