Volcano Vista 38, Cibola 30 OT
In another Thursday Night Thriller the Volcano Vista Hawks beat City Rival Cibola in overtime after a Josh Lubhold touchdown to keep their play-off hopes alive. Volcano Vista now 5-5 this year and 1-2 in District 1-5A play is still play-off eligible, but a loss last night would of knocked them out of play-off contention. On the night Volcano Vista Hawk Quarterback Reid Hendricks threw for over 300-yards on the night and Sophomore Running Back Dominico Chavez ran for just under 100-yards with two touchdowns. Cibola was led by Derek Martinez who threw for over 300-yards and three touchdown passes. Cibola finishes the year at 1-9.

Deming 49, Centennial 13
The Deming Wildcats are the District 3-4A Champs with a 36 point win over Centennial Thursday Night. The Hawks got on the board early when Centennial Junior Quarterback Queving Redding hooked up with Andres Chavez for an 80-yard touchdown, but the Wildcats would strike right back to go up 28-7 before half. Deming Sophomore Quarterback threw for over 200-yards on the night and hit Jerome Sandoval and Richard Regalado for touchdown passes. 1,000-yard running back for Deming Ismail Garrett was not dress after suffering an injury last week against Santa Teresa. Deming is looking at a six, seven or eight seed in the play-offs.
