    Class 5A Quarterfinal Recap
The Volcano Vista Hawks took down No. 1 Seeded Rio Rancho 25-24 in a game that has taken the Volcano Vista Hawks to the 5A Final Four for the first time in school history.

Sandia defeated Mayfield 35-28 in a shootout. The Matadors have reached the semifinals under Head Coach Kevin Barker for just the second time since the 2006 season. Highlights Here

Eldorado beat rival La Cueva 21-7 in a low scoring game that was simply puzzling. The Bears leading up to this game were scoring over 30 points per game, but the Eldorado Defense came up with several turnovers and shocked the State of New Mexico becoming this year's Play-Off Cinderella. Highlights Here

Las Cruces and Clovis combined for 110 points Friday Night at the Field of Dreams in a 70-40 win for the Las Cruces Bulldawgs. The Bulldawgs got eight, yes right touchdowns from Running Back J.J. Grandados. Highlights Here

    #9 Volcano Vista (7-5) vs. #4 Sandia (8-3)
The Volcano Vista Hawks and the Sandia Matadors met back in week three with Sandia dominating the game winning 31-14. Clearly Volcano Vista is a different team during this point of the season and will be a giant threat for Sandia in the semifinals. The Play of linebacker/fullback Josh Lubold and Receiver Connor Anderson is simply hard work paying off during crunch time. Sandia beat Mayfield 35-28 and is back in the semifinals since the 2006 season. Their offense has the edge, but their defense is going to have to make big plays if they want to earn a ride to "The Ship."

    #11 Eldorado (6-5) vs. #2 Las Cruces (9-1)
Head Coach Charlie Dotson and the Eldorado Eagles will host Jim Miller and the Las Cruces Bulldawgs December 1st at Wilson Stadium for a rematch of the 2009 State Title Game, when Las Cruces defeated Eldorado 26-20 in one of the best ever state title games we've seen. Eldorado has beaten: Manzano, Cleveland, and La Cueva in their last three games, next up: The 5A Favorite. Las Cruces has won seven in a row and scored 70 last weekend against Clovis. We're going to put it straight: The Bulldawgs are a early 14 point favorite over Eldorado.
