THURSDAY BRACKET BUSTER GAME

Goddard Rockets (0-0) vs. Espanola Valley Sundevils (1-0)
Where: Taos High School, Taos, NM
Time: 5:00 PM
Taos Invitational Bracket Preview
You must remember the 2011 4A State Championship game between these two squads. Well, this is a repeat two years removed and with an entirely new roster for both teams.

Espanola Valley (1-0) opened their season on Tuesday night with a big win over Santa Fe Indian (0-2). The Sundevils have a pair of new players in sophomore Jared Garduno and Kyle Gaines.

Goddard (0-0) opens the season with this game but several key players are still playing football and they could be down a little bit.

THE PICK: Sundevils +1
Backcourt: Sundevils
Frontcourt: Goddard
Depth: Espanola (Goddard still in football)
Experience: Goiddard
Game Changer: Garduno, is young but can shoots lights out.

BRACKET/SEEDING IMPLICATION GAME

No. 25 Gallup Bengals (0-0) vs. Abq. Academy Chargers (1-0)
Where: Gallup High School, Gallup, NM
Time: 7:00 PM
Bengals-Chargers Preview
The Bengals start the season at home and hope to carry over the success from last season. The Bengals who are 2012 Runner-Up's are looking to keep the winning ways going.

Key players to look for in this game are Domonic Martinez of Gallup High School and Chris Martin of Albuquerque Academy who dropped 20 points on Santa Fe High School on Tuesday night.

THE PICK: Bengals +9
Backcourt: Bengals
Frontcourt: Chargers
Depth: Bengals
Experience: Bengals
Game Changer: The backcourt of the Bengals is solid and I love the little duo they have in Kinsel and Spencer.

BUBBLE TEAM GAME

Del Norte Knights (0-0) @ Santa Fe Demons (0-1): The Del Norte Knights have a new head coach in Ryan Noce and will look to start the process of returning to the State Tournament. Both teams missed the State Tournament last season losing key games like this. The Demons already lost one of these games this week falling by 20 to Albuquerque Academy on Tuesday night.

    OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT BRACKET: Taos Invite

    TAOS BRACKET PICKS
Espanola Valley (1-0) over Goddard (0-0)
Mora (0-0) over Taos JV (NA)
Wingate (0-0) over Mesa Vista (0-3)
Taos (2-1) over Santa Fe Indian (0-3)

Grine Skinny: I like the home team, Taos Tigers in this one. I think they could play Espanola Valley in the title game but the Tigers have surprised me with some of the returning talent. I knew Kiko Martinez was solid, and a potential Top-125 Player, but he has help that really stepped up in the Tigers first three games. Head coach Daniel Trujillo continues to impress and could be up for coach of the year if the Tigers continue to improve like this.
