Text Scores: (505) 414-4313
Although it wasn't the best night shooting the ball for the Panthers they were able to grind out the victory and earn the title, a feat that has not been accomplished by the Panthers since 2003, a long 10 year drought has been snapped and has Pecos looking stronger and stronger with each victory. The Panthers are now 11-1 and if you asked any player or coach on the Pecos roster what main factor has contributed to early season success is and their answer would be "tenacious defense".

The Rangers are now 9-4 and while they are not out of the play-off picture just yet though. Leading the way for the Rangers on the night was Cody Najar who had 20 points, and Amrick Vasquez who had 19.

For the Panthers leading the way offensively was Johnny Trujillo who had a career high 33 points and 15 rebounds also helping out was Darren De Herrera who had 15 points and Brandon Quintana who added 10 of his own.
