    Grine: Bleacher Review

Movement, Bracket talk and plenty of e-mails as the heat turns up in New Mexico.

Can you believe that week 15 of the season is here and the final week of the regular season. The bracket has shaped up and most teams will use this last week to make a bid for the State Tournament.

    Game Coverage

It was a busy week for me but I still had the chance to see a couple of games. The main one came during the Sandia Prep game and this is a place you need to watch out if you are a media guy. The security guard doesn't like you -joke of course. He tried to constantly make me move to the bleachers and it was also a special game as one of my boys was my assistant taking in the Hope Christian - Sandia Prep game.

    THE EXTRA

Give him a raise: Schonn Schroer, West Mesa
Hot seat a little cooler Wally Salata, Rio Rancho
Coach who earned his check: Mike Smith, Hobbs
    I see you: Texico
Darn good see you in March: Dexter
I want to watch: Los Lunas
Miles Traveled: Cibola and Sandia Prep
Student Section: Volcano Vista student crowd (@ Cibola)

Team of the Week: West Mesa

I know that they won this award last week but it's only fitting that the Mustangs take home the award again as the continue to have a successful 2013 portion of the basketball season.

    More Teams Getting Love:

Shiprock Chieftains : The Chieftains have continued to run the table in their District winning by large margins. The Chieftains stay ranked as the number one team in 3A (No. 24 NMPreps.com Top 25).

Capital Jaguars: Capital has been hot and cold at moments in 2013 but they answered many questions as they move out of the 3-way tie for first place in District 2-4A by beating both teams that were tied with them - Espanola Valley and Capital.

Eldorado Eagles: We have called the Eagles out and questioned their power but the 5A defending state champions are looking like champs once again. They continue to dominate in District 2-5A.
