Las Cruces 54, Artesia 0
Defense, defense, and more defense… In their last three games the Las Cruces Bulldawgs have outscored opponents by a combined 116-6. Friday Night they pitched their second shutout in a row mercy ruling Artesia by the 3rd quarter to move to 6-0 on the year. Sophomore Quarterback Kameron Miller ran for 101-yards, J.J. Granados scored 3 rushing touchdowns, Nick Guerrero returned a fumble for a touchdown, Sam Denmak scored a touchdown, and Austin Salas ended the game with a 64-yard rushing touchdown.

Clovis 31, Goddard 28
The Clovis Wildcats defeated the Goddard Rockets Friday Night 31-28 thanks to 320-yards rushing and 3 touchdowns from Senior Running Back Kamal Cass. Goddard was led by Cameron Neff who ran for 100-yards and a 55-yard touchdown run. Clovis scored the game winning touchdown when Quarterback Dakotah Yandell hooked up with Receiver Travion Sopilla. The Wildcats are now 2-4 on the year, Goddard is now 3-2

Volcano Vista 34, Mayfield 14
The Volcano Vista Hawks now 3-2 defeated No. 2 Ranked Undefeated Mayfield Friday Night in a statewide shocker. Tied at 14-14, the Hawks outscored the Trojans 35-14. Conner Anderson caught two touchdowns from Sophomore Quarterback Josh Williams on the night. Hawks Running Back Dominico Chavez scored 2 touchdowns. The Trojans suffer their first loss dropping to 5-1.

Valley 31, Manzano 14
The Valley Vikings are still unbeaten after a convincing three touchdown win over Manzano Friday Night. The Vikings were led Quarterback Bo Coleman and Receiver Aaron Molina who hooked up for 3 touchdown connections. Molina caught for over 350-yards on the night. The Vikings now 5-0 open district next weekend against Atrisco Heritage.

Rio Rancho 28, Atrisco Heritage 27
For the second time in two weeks the Rams were able to escape with a victory, last week by 3 against Clovis in overtime, this week by 1 against Atrisco Heritage. Rio Rancho Quarterback Easton Burere threw 4 interceptions, Ricci Alvidrez who entering the game leading Class 5A in rushing was held to less than 40-yards on the night. The Jaguars scored with just late in the game to make it 28-27, opted for a 2PT conversion only to have the Ram's defense come up big.

Hobbs 41, Alamogordo 0
The Hobbs Eagles are now 5-1 on the year after beating Alamogordo 41-0 Friday Night. The Eagles were led by Quarterback David Romero who threw for 283-yards and 3 touchdowns. Steven Olivas caught for 176-yards off 6 receptions. The Eagles take on Lovington in week 7.

Farmington 21, St. Pius X 0
The Farmington Scorpions are now 5-1 on the season after blanking St. Pius X Friday Night. The Scorpions were led by Austin Foutz who ran for 132-yards on the night, a touchdown run from Brian Farley, and one-yard touchdown run for Jacob Lucas. The Scorpions take on Bloomfield in week 7.

Del Norte 55, Aztec 41
The Del Norte Knights moved to 4-2 on the season with a statement win over Aztec Friday Night. Knight's running back Daryl Wiggins ran for 261-yards and scored 5 touchdowns on the night.

Bloomfield 39, Miyamura 0
The Bloomfield Bobcats moved to 4-1 on the season with a shutout victory over Miyamura in a game that ended early because of a fight which ended the game with just under 30 seconds left in the game. On the night, Bloomfield was led by Adrian Vigil who ran for just under 200-yards and Robert Lyon who passed for 151-yards. Bloomfield takes on Farmington in week 7.

Academy 28, Los Alamos 7
The Academy Chargers keep winning and are now 5-1 on the season
after a 2 touchdown win over Los Alamos. The Chargers were led by a 220-yards performance from running back Phillip Romero.

Texico 47, Ft. Sumner 25
The Texico Wolverines moved to 3-3 on the season thanks to a 113-yards rushing from Justin Rucker and a 82-yard kick return by Adrian Gomez. Ft. Sumner was led by 242-yards rushing and 2 touchdowns from Michael Giannini.

Today we recap the Thursday Night High School Football Games.

Cleveland 54, Highland 0 
The Cleveland Storm moved to 5-0 on the season after jumping to a 41-0 lead over Highland at the half Thursday Night at Wilson Stadium. Jesse Neito scored two rushing touchdowns, Kian Homme hooked up several times with Receiver Andre Li Rosi, Mackay Dunlap returned an interception for a touchdown, and Gabe Ortega returned a kick for a touchdown. "Our goal was to come out and play Storm Football. A lot of our success is contributed to our senior leadership. Nobody wants to see what you do in September and October and our goal is to continue to climb that ladder," said Head Football Coach Heath Ridenour Thursday Night. Cleveland will host Sandia next Friday Night in a Marquee Metro Area Showdown.

Centennial 49, Hatch 13 
The Centennial Hawks moved to 4-1 on the season Thursday Night with a 36 point win over
the No. 2 ranked 2A Hatch Bears. The Hawks were led by Quarterback Queving Redding who threw for 134-yards passing and accounted for 7 total touchdowns. He threw for 3 and ran for touchdown runs of 2, 6, 2, and 43 as the Hawks cruised to their third win a row. The Hawks will take on undefeated St. Michael's next weekend in Santa Fe.

Moriarty 55, Albuquerque 0 
The Moriarty Pintos moved to .500 on the season after handing the Albuquerque Bulldogs their 34th consecutive loss. Moriarty will take on Roswell next week in a 4A Marquee Match Up and Albuquerque now 0-5 will take on 0-5 Highland.
