Artesia 58, Chaparral 40 - In Artesia at the City of Champions Classic, the Bulldogs rolled to a 18 point victory over the Lobos. The Bulldogs were led by Dion Wesson who finished with 13 points. Artesia will take on Lovington in the semifinals tonight in the Bulldog Pit.
Highland- 65, Rio Rancho- 61- In the the Joe Armijo Classic, the Hornets squeezed by the Rams to advance to 4-0 on the season. Bryan Medina led the Hornets with 20 points.
Hope- 74, Las Cruces- 63- The Huskies are at it again, as they defeated the reigning 5A state champs yesterday. Dedrick Milford led the way for Hope with 18 points. Malik Woods had 19 for the Bulldawgs.
Albuquerque High- 71, Los Alamos- 37- The Bulldogs easily carried the win with help from leading scorer Gabe Bump, who had 21. Junior Jared Blea and Senior Naz Gonzales also were in double digits for points with 18 and 17 respectively. With 23 team steals, the Bulldogs go 2-2 on the season.
Academy- 70, Bernalillo- 53- Academy easily defeated Bernalillo with the help of senior forward Cody Roberts. Roberts had 22 points, while Carlos CdeBaca added 21.
St. Mikes- 47, Santa Fe Prep- 37- The Horsemen defeated town rival, the Griffins, Thursday night to advance to 2-0 on the season. Bradly Vaughan was St. Mike's leading scorer with 13, while Chris Lovato added 10. Junior Ian Anderson led the way for Prep with 12 points.
Gadsden- 39, Santa Fe- 29- Rafa Martinez brought in 14 points for the Panthers as they defeated the Demons last night. Keanyn Evans led the Demons with 11. With this win, the Gadsden Panthers are now 10-0, and the Demons go 0-6 on the season.
Capital- 68, Santa Fe JV- 21- In an easy win for the Jaguars, Sergio Begay led the team in scoring with 21 points. The Jaguars improve to 3-3 this season.
Roswell- 62, Carlsbad- 48- In the opening round of the City of Champions Tournament in Artesia, the Coyotes defeated the Cavemen by a respectable 14 points. Cesar Nava dropped 20 points to lead the Coyotes.
Shiprock- 58, Farmington- 39- Deron Johnson helped defeat the Scorpions with 17 points. Justin Begay and Hiram Gleason added 12 each. Alex Whiteley was the Scorpions leading scorer with 14. Shiprock advances to play Cleveland today.
Piedra Vista- 73, Gallup- 65- In the first round of the Marv Sanders Invitaional, the Panthers were led by leading scorer Isaiah Valdez who had 17. Alonzo Araiza added 11, while Sterling Begaye added 10. Gallup was led by Mathew Begay with 17.
Grants- 61, St. Pius- 57- The Pirates shocked the Sartans as they defeated the hosts by 4 points Thursday night. Richie Lucero brought in 18 points for Grants. The pirates had a few more double digit scorers in Orland Ware, 17 and Jacob Wilcox, 12. Ray Reyes led the way for the Sartans with 27.
Silver- 45, Bosque- 38- Leading scorers were Gabe Morales of Silver with 18 and Bosque's Gabe Chavez with 20 points. Derek Salas added 10 to Silver's victory. Silver advances to the semi-final of the Sundevil Invitational where they will play Mesilla Valley.
Ruidoso- 54, Robertson- 48- Luis Marquez of Ruidoso and Robertson's Ricardo Martinez tied for leading scorer with 21, while the other double digit player was Rylan Vega of Ruidoso, who added 10. Ruidoso will take on the host, Sandia Prep in the today in the Sundevil Invitaional's second semi- final game.
Mesilla Valley- 59, Pojoaque- 52- In the third game of the day at Sandia Prep, Mesilla Valley beat the Elks by 8 to advance to the semi-finals. J Adler had 24, while Z. Wagner brought in 17 for Mesilla. Pojoaque's Chris Martinez had 13.
Sandia Prep- 56, Desert Academy- 46- Despite losing senior point guard Zack Tenorio to an ankle injury, the young Sundevil roster prevailed to win the first game of their home tournament. Big man Dustin Gaddis lead the way with 20 points, Jacob Helper added 12. Prep advances to 3-1 on the season.

Artesia- 71, Ruidoso- 32: Senior Alexa Davis lead the way for Ruidoso with 13 points, however it wasn't enough to defeat the Bulldogs. Artesia is now 3-0 on the season and Ruidoso falls to 1-1.
Grants- 59, Sandia Prep- 45: Breana Abeita led the way for the Sundevils with 13 points. With the win, Grants improves to 3-0, while Prep goes 4-2.
Hobbs- 54, Del Norte- 31: Danni Williams, a junior guard, led the way with 26 points. Hobbs advances to 6-1 on the season.
Shiprock- 76, Navajo Prep- 32: Three player were in double digits for Shiprock, including leading scorer Taylor Henderson with 23. Others included Seniors Courtney Steele and Ashley John with 13 and 10 respectively. The Chieftains advance to 6-0 on the season.
Los Lunas- 70, Los Alamos- 55: Los Lunas opened their run in the Joe Armijo Classic with a win over the Hilltoppers. Teige Zeller led the way with 28 points.
Hope- 39, Academy- 36: The Huskies add another win as they defeat the hosts of the Joe Armijo Classic by only three points. Shelby Perry was the leading scorer with 13.
Las Cruces- 56, Highland- 34: Megan Guadian was the lady Bulldawgs leading scorer with 13. Alina Fassa was also in double digits with 11. Las Cruces advances to 3-1 on the season and will face Hope this evening in the semi-final of the Joe Armijo Classic.
St. Mikes- 52, Santa Fe JV- 21: The lady Horsemen defeated their JV opponent with the help of Alexandra Groenewold, who had 14 points. Briona Vigil added 10.
Belen- 54, West Las Vegas- 37: Mariah Forde, a junior for Belen, dropped 26 points last night. The Eagles remain undefeated with a 4-0 record, while the Lady Dons go 3-2 on the season.
Centennial- 62, Capital- 35: Freshman Rylee Meloy was the only player to end in double digits in last night's game. She led Centennial to the victory with 13 points. With the loss, the Jaguars fall to 0-6.
Santa Fe- 77, Robertson- 44: Andrea Gonzales came off the bench last night to lead the Demonettes with 17 points. Kayla Herrera added 15 and Sabrina Lozada- Cabbage had 14. Abbey Bradley and Amber Yara tied as leading scorers for the Cardinals with 13 each. The Cardinals lose their first game of the season, while Santa Fe advances to 6-1.
Clovis- 61, Onate- 24: After last night's game, Clovis remains undefeated, and Onate remains winless. Post Shelby Jones was the leading scorers for the lady cats with 14, while Brandi Gomez added 12. There were no players in double digits for Onate.
