2014 College Football Commits

National Signing Day is just around the corner. Today, we update you on which New Mexico High School Football Prospects from the Class of 2014 have verbally committed to play college football. New Mexico Class of 2014 Committed Prospect List
DL Camrron Bean, 6-4, 235 Sandia (N.M.) Albuquerque
Was named the 2013 NMPreps.com MVP after showing out at both WR/DL. Top level athlete who shined for Sandia Football over the last two years. Even played QB at the High School Level.
DL Desmond Branch, 6-3, 235, Cleveland (N.M.) Rio Rancho
The best pure defensive end in New Mexico graduating this year. He comes from a strong football bloodline and will have a great shot at starting for the Lobos as a true freshmen.
LB Sam Denmark, 6-1, 219, Las Cruces (N.M)
Denmark has it all, best player at Las Cruces High School this past year, two time all-state, two time state champ, over 250 tackles while at Las Cruces High School. Has offers from New Mexico and Abilene Christian. Committed To Abilene Christian over Air Force on January 29th, 2014
WR - Aaron Molina, 6-2, 162, Valley (N.M.) Albuquerque
Was named the overall receiver mvp for his stellar performance during the skills and drills portion. He hands like a vacuum cleaner and runs great routes. Coming off the football he gets a good push and can make that second cut against midfield to create separation from defenders. Molina committed to New Mexico during the 2013 season.
TE Sterling Napier, 6-3, 227, Cleveland (N.M.) Rio Rancho
Sterling Napier is one of the best pure tight ends in New Mexico. Napier who recently committed to UTEP has had a strong 2013 season even showing well at the Rivals.com Camp Series in Phoenix, Arizona way back in March. He has worked his tail off in the weight room were he is hang cleaning 220 pounds. Dominate against most high school linebackers because of his size.
QB Cassius Corley, 6-1, 191, Grants (N.M.)
Already committed to New Mexico State, Corley came into the combine to simply compete. He was very impressive throwing the football, but what was really impressive with his speed. He ran the fastest forty time out of the more than 25 quarterbacks that attended with a 4.56 and also ran a 4.31 shuttle time. Many have asked if he is being recruited as a quarterback and the answer is yes.
DL Travis Parnell, 6-3, 220, Rio Rancho (N.M.)
Travis Parnell has been a two year starter at Rio Rancho High School. We've seen him play a variety of positions over the years as a Ram. From Backer to Defensive End. At 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds Parnell carries his size very well. He committed to New Mexico State back during the 2013 season.
DL Peter Brewer, 6-2, 220, Los Alamos (N.M.)
It's been a while since Los Alamos has turned out some next level football talent, but Brewer fit the mold. At 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds Brewer had an impressive NMPreps.com Elite Combine showing with 15 reps of 185, a 4.89 40-time, and a 27 inch vertical. He committed to the University of Montana
DL Dakota Montoya, 6-4, 285, Clayton (N.M.)
One of the top small school prospects we've seen in New Mexico over the last few years has committed to Eastern New Mexico. He had committed to West Texas A&M before switching his commitment on the final day. Helped Clayton win their first State Football Championship this past year. Committed to Eastern New Mexico
RB Kamal Cass, 5-10, 165, Clovis (N.M.)
The career leading running back at Clovis High School has made his commitment to play at Eastern New Mexico. He ran a 4.3 40-time at the NMPreps.com Elite Combine. Committed to Eastern New Mexico
OL Raymond Fiero, 6-3, 271, Mayfield (N.M.) Las Cruces
An all-state offensive linemen from Mayfield who helped their power run game over the last two years has Committed to Eastern New Mexico. Showed well at the Combine in one-on-one's and did work on defensive linemen all year. Another huge land for the Hounds.
DB Todd Countee, 5-10, 186, Manzano (N.M.) Albuquerque
One of the best cover corners in the Class of 2014 has committed to Eastern New Mexico. Counteee was a two-time all-state player at Manzano. Hard hitter, could also play safety. Committed To Eastern New Mexico
LB McKay Dunlap, 6-0, 220, Cleveland (N.M.) Rio Rancho
One of the best overall defensive players from the 2013 season has committed to play at Eastern New Mexico. Dunlap is a 220 pound linebacker out of Cleveland. He had over 90 tackles during his senior season.
DL Jeremiah Thompson, 6-1, 285, Sandia (N.M.) Albuquerque
Two time all-state linemen for the Matadors had options from West Texas A&M and also Eastern New Mexico. Tons of upside on him, feel like he could actually be a D-1 guy. Committed To Eastern New Mexico
DL Julian Pena, 6-0, 290, Sandia (N.M.) Albuquerque
Also a two time all-state linemen from Sandia, Pena has had a great career and will be a solid pick up for anyone. Very good defensive linemen, very strong, great moves off the ball. Committed To Eastern New Mexico
RB Ish Garrett, 5-foot-10, 185, Deming (N.M.)
Garrett was recently offered by both Western New Mexico and by Eastern New Mexico. One of the more underrated running backs on the board. Ran for over 2,000-yards at Deming and scored more than 20 touchdowns. Committed To Eastern New Mexico
DB Isaiah Lerman, 5-11, 162, Mayfield (N.M.) Las Cruces
Solid pick up for Eastern New Mexico. Has been a starter at Mayfield for the last two years. Returned a pick for a touchdown against Las Cruces in the State Title Game. 4.7 guy with a 4.08 blazing shuttle. Committed To Eastern New Mexico.
DB Jalen Bishop, 5-11, 175, Las Cruces (N.M.)
Sure shot next level defensive back Jalen Bishop had 8 interceptions during his senior season helping the Las Cruces Bulldawgs win their 2nd State Title in two-years. Fantastic man coverage skills and just a big time play-maker. Huge pick up by Pima right here. Committed To Pima CC.
WR Conner Anderson, 6-5, 185, Volcano Vista (N.M.) Albuquerque
Great size and soft hands making him a red-zone nightmare for defenses. He caught 10 touchdowns this past year for the Hawks. Committed to Pima CC over a few D-2 offers.
QB Kian Homme, 6-5, 196, Cleveland (N.M.) Rio Rancho
One of the top pro-style quarterbacks on the board from the Class of 2014. Two-year starter at Cleveland. Great height and strong arm. Homme is no-where near is max as far as potential. Best days of football are well ahead of him. Committed To Pima CC.
DL Jesse Olson, 6-0, 260, Las Cruces (N.M.)
An all-state defensive linemen for the 2013 State Champs, the Las Cruces Bulldawgs. Olson will follow 2013 Pima Commits Taylor Tisby and Jacob Benegas out to Arizona. Committed To Pima CC.
WR Tristin Foley, 5-9, 150, Rio Rancho (N.M.)
Comes from a very strong football bloodline. Had a great three year varsity career at Rio Rancho catching for over 2,000-yards and over 10 touchdowns. A+ Routes. Committed To Pima CC.
RB Vicent Gallegos, 5-10, 210, Cibola (N.M.) Albuquerque
210 pound running back that will continue to impress at the next level. He's going to get even bigger and could even play backer he is that athletic. Watch for him to make a big splash at the college level.
WR Tyler Wilson, 6-2, 154, Cleveland (N.M.) Rio Rancho
Caught a good amount of passes from Quarterback Kian Homme during the 2013 season. Long arms, good size height wise, and runs very good routes. Good upside on Wilson. Committed to Ft. Lewis
DB Wesley Dugger, 5-10, 169, Sandia (N.M.) Albuquerque
Very good career at Sandia. Has started in the secondary for the last two years. At the Combine Dugger had solid numbers. 14 reps of 185 pounds and ran a 4.38 shuttle time.
ATH Queving Redding, 5-10, 165, Centennial (N.M.) Las Cruces
Committed to NMMI. The first ever prospect to commit to play college from Centennial is an athlete who played quarterback over the last three years at the high school level. Can also play defensive back and bring the wood.
WR Andrew Yates, 6-4, 215, Alamogordo (N.M.)
Committed to NMMI and will have a great shot playing beyond JC after a few years. Great size, very strong, and soft hands. Could be a TE at the next level, but played WR for the Tigers during his senior season. Also a top level hoops recruit.
OL Jaden Amaro, 6-foot, 268, Dexter (N.M.)
Committed to NMMI. Amaro was one of the top offensive linemen and defensive linemen in Class 2A. Underrated prospect that will continue to rise at the JC level.
ATH Daniel Ortega, 5-10, 185, Santa Fe (N.M.) St. Michael's
Committed to NMMI and the they've picked up a great one from St. Michael's. Can play pretty much any position on the field. Played P/WR/DB/RB/QB and was pretty much all-state at all positons. Watched him play against Centennial this past year and he scored 5 touchdowns.
QB Rodney Holcomb, 6-4, 215, Carlsbad (N.M.)
Committed to NMMI. Holcomb has D-1 size and athleticism and has heard from New Mexico as well as New Mexico State. Has decided to go the JC route and will head to Roswell to attend NMMI.
RB Daryl Wiggins, 5-11, 180, Del Norte (N.M.) Albuquerque
It came down between Eastern New Mexico and NMMI for the Class of 2014 Prospect who ran for 2,500-yards this past season. Built with tons of speed and great field vision, it will be interesting to see his progress while at NMMI.
WR Troy Giddings, 6-1, 155, Valley (N.M.) Albuquerque
Playmaker for the Valley Vikings. While Bo Coleman and Aaron Molina headlined the team, Giddings did work all year long catching for over 700-yards and 5 touchdowns. Solid upside on a prospect like this. Committed To Adams State
WR KJ Jiggetts, 5-9, 150, Rio Rancho (N.M.)
Very polished route runner and can make plays after the catch. At the NMPreps.com Elite Combine he ran a 4.72 40-time and benched 185 pounds 9 times. Very similar to Foley. Committed Benedictine University (NAIA)
