Henderson: Top Uncommitted Prospects

Today we update you on the top uncommitted New Mexico High School Football Prospects. Kyle Henderson, the Publisher of NMPreps.com also weighs in on his predictions on where each prospect is headed.

Uncomitted Prospects | Committed Prospects Here

DE Desmond Branch, 6-3, 230, Cleveland (N.M.) Rio Rancho
Branch is one of the best overall defensive linemen we've had in New Mexico over the last few years it's that simple. Hearing he'll land up committing to New Mexico.
RB Kamal Cass, 5-10, 175, Clovis (N.M.)
The career leading rusher in Clovis Football has just one offer, yes you've read that right. Despite his amazing career at Clovis High School few have recruited the 4.4 Top Running Back on the board. Eastern New Mexico looks like they'll land Cass.
QB Rodney Holcomb, 6-4, 207, Carlsbad (N.M.)
Holcomb has D-1 size and athleticism and has heard from New Mexico as well as New Mexico State. However it looks as though he'll end up at NMMI once it is all said and done.
DL Dakota Montoya, 6-4, 285, Clayton (N.M.)
Fantastic student athlete, top 2A football player this past year, one of the top prep basketball players as well. Montoya has options to play at Eastern New Mexico and also at West Texas A&M. Thinking Eastern New Mexico will land one of the best ever from Clayton.
RB Ish Garrett, 5-foot-10, 185, Deming (N.M.)
Garrett was recently offered by both Western New Mexico and by Eastern New Mexico. One of the more underrated running backs on the board. Thinking Western New Mexico because of the proximity to Deming, his home town.
DL Matthew Carr, 6-1, 245, Ruidoso (N.M.)
Carr is one of the top defensive linemen in Class 3A, probably the best overall actually. He has an offer from Eastern New Mexico. Thinking he'll end up a Greyhound.
DL Jeremiah Thompson, 6-1, 285, Sandia (N.M.) Albuquerque
Two time all-state linemen for the Matadors has options from West Texas A&M and also Eastern New Mexico. Thinking he'll stay in New Mexico, but it's a tough call.
DL Julian Pena, 6-0, 290, Sandia (N.M.) Albuquerque
Also a two time all-state linemen from Sandia, Pena has had a great career and will be a solid pick up for anyone. He has an offer from Eastern New Mexico.
