Today, we are proud to announce the week 14 NMPreps.com player of the week for the state of New Mexico. Each season the staff at NMPreps.com will take nomination and let all premium board members of NMPreps Nation vote the winner.

Week 14 Coach of the Week: Tommy Morrow

High School: Mayfield

Impressive Feat: Tommy Morrow and the Mayfield Trojans won the District 3-5A Championship, but it came on a bitter sweet week as Morrow's house was burned down in a fire. Week 14 Boys Player of the Week: Ryan Jones

High School: Cleveland
Graduation Year: 2015

Stat Line: Jones is just a junior, but he is a NMPreps.com Mr. Basketball Candidate for continued big performances on the basketball court. Against Rio Rancho he scored 35.

Week 14 Girls Player of the Week: Danni Williams

High School: Clovis
Graduation Year: 2015

Stat Line: The Clovis Lady Wilidcats are 26-0 on the season and the big favorite to win the Class 5A State Title. Once again, we honor the junior standout for scoring 21 against Hobbs last week.

Week 13 Coach of the Week: Joe Coleman

High School: Valley High School

Impressive Feat: The Valley Vikings are the District 5-5A Champs with a record of 22-2. In their final stretch of district games, Joe Coleman and the Vikings defeated Albuquerque, West Mesa, and Rio Grande.

Week 13 Boys Player of the Week: Joe Brooks

High School: Atrisco Heritage
Graduation Year: 2014

Stat Line: This week we honor Joe Brooks out of Atrisco Heritage. He scored 44 against Albuquerque in a double overtime victory.

Week 13 Girls Player of the Week: Tiege Zeller

High School: Los Lunas
Graduation Year: 2014

Stat Line: Teige Zeller has been putting up Miss Basketball type numbers all year long and in week 13 she scored had 36 pts, 18 rebs, 5 blks, 3 assists, 3 stls in a single game.

Week 12 Coach of the Week: Ryan Peil

High School: Laguna Acoma

Impressive Feat: The 2A Defending State Champs are still unbeaten during the 2013/2014 season and continue district riding a 23-game winning streak under Head Coach Ryan Peil. Last week they picked up wins over Bosque 60-29 and beat Estancia 80-38.

Week 12 Boys Player of the Week: Chris Sanchez

High School: Los Lunas
Graduation Year: 2014

Stat Line: It's beginning to be clear that there is no better duo in the State than Chris Sanchez and Jacob Holland form Los Lunas. Last week the player of the week was Holland, this week it's Sanchez as he poured in 27 against Belen and then 32 again against Valencia. The Tigers are unbeaten in District.

Week 12 Girls Player of the Week: Tiege Zeller

High School: Los Lunas
Graduation Year: 2014

Stat Line: Zeller one of the best seniors in New Mexico scored 12 against Valencia in a key district game, but it was against St. Michael's where she stole the show last week putting up 33 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. Likely, one of the best all-time rebounders New Mexico has ever seen.

Week 11 Coach of the Week: Jim Murphy

High School: Hope Christian

Impressive Feat: Over the years Jim Murphy has won countless awards and has more state title rings than fingers. This year is no different with Hope rolling to a 17-3 record coming off three very impressive wins over Manzano, Clovis, and Hobbs. The Huskies beat Manzano 70-46, beat Clovis 91-72, and beat Hobbs 75-72. Hope ranked No. 1 in New Mexicoin Class 3A takes on No. 2 ranked St. Mike's Wednesday Night.

Week 11 Boys Player of the Week: Jacob Holland

High School: Los Lunas
Graduation Year: 2014

Stat Line: The Los Lunas Tigers are now 14-5 on the year and 4-0 in district play after wins over Gallup and Miyamura. Jacob Holland scored a season high 37 points against Gallup.

Week 11 Girls Player of the Week: Brianna Reyna

High School: Texico
Graduation Year: 2016

Stat Line: Brianna Reyna who is just a sophomore at Texico High School posted up a monster week 11 performance agianst Santa Rosa. She scored 27 points and pulled down 18 boards in the key district win.

Week 10 Coach of the Week: Damien Segura

High School: St. Pius X

Impressive Feat: Damien Segura and the St. Pius X Sartans keep winning in the month of January. In fact they are 7-2 over the month after big wins over Kirtland Central and Sandia Prep last week. Year in and year out Segura keeps his teams in the mix this year has few known stars, however with 8 juniors on the roster it looks as though this youthful group can make a run this year and next year.

Week 10 Boys Player of the Week: Chris Sanchez

High School: Los Lunas
Graduation Year: 2014

Stat Line: The Los Lunas Tigers moved to 12-5 this week after wins over Grants and Belen, two very important wins to open district. Senior Guard Chris Sanchez opened the district on fire. He scored 28 points and had 7 assists against Grants and poured in 35 and 4 assist against Belen.

Week 10 Girls Player of the Week: Danni Williams

High School: Clovis
Graduation Year: 2015

Stat Line: For a second week in a row, it's Danni Williams from Clovis, New Mexico as the player of the week. Williams who is just a junior at Clovis who is No. 1 in the State of New Mexico with a record of 19-0 had what could be her best week yet. She scored 28 in a marquee game against Volcano Vista, scored 30 against Portales, and her most impressive performance came when she scored 42 against Trinity Christian.

Week 9 Coach of the Week: Joe Coleman

High School: Valley

Impressive Feat: The Valley Vikings are the No. 1 ranked team in New Mexico and are riding a 7 game winnings streak in 2014. Long time Head Basketball Coach Joe Coleman is one of the top coaches in New Mexico and continues to keep Valley among the top programs in New Mexico year in and year out. Last week Valley beat Del Norte, St. Pius X, and Clovis. They kick off week 10 against Atrisco Heritage.

Week 9 Boys Player of the Week: Bryan Medina

High School: Highland
Graduation Year: 2014
Votes Count: 28.57%

Stat Line: Medina was money in week 9 for the Highland Hornets. In a pivotal game against Gadsden, Medina came up with 21 points and hit the game winning three pointer. Medina also scored 22 against Alamogordo. The Hornets are now 11-3 this year under Head Coach Danny Brown.

Week 9Girls Player of the Week: Danni Williams

High School: Clovis
Graduation Year: 2015

Stat Line: The Clovis Lady Wildcats are unbeaten and the No. 1 team in New Mexico. During week 9, Danni Williams who has over 35 D-1 Offers to play for basically any program in the Country scored 34 against Valley High School. She also scored 26 against La Cueva. The Wildcats are now 16-0.

Week 8 Coach of the Week: Jamil Brown

High School: Carlsbad

Impressive Feat: The Carlsbad Cavemen are off to a hot start in the Month of January. In week 8 the Cavemen handed the Roswell Coyotes their first loss, then beat Gadsden who took Hobs into 3 OT's a month ago, and then beat Santa Teresa. Head Carlsbad Coach Jamil Brown has been named NMPreps.com Coach of the Week before, he's certainly in the mix for the award again.

Week 8 Boys Player of the Week: Adonis Saltes

High School: Valley
Graduation Year: 2014

Stat Line: The Valley Vikings are the new No. 1 team in the land after winning the 2014 APS Tournament. Senior Adonis Saltes was more than money in the tournament scoring 22 against Cleveland, 34 against Hope, and 22 against Sandia.

Week 8 Girls Player of the Week: Shalie McAlister

High School: Carlsbad
Graduation Year: 2015

Stat Line: Shalie McAlister out Carlsbad, New Mexico is our Week 8 Player of the Week. She had two outstanding performances last week against Santa Teresa and Roswell. Against the Desert Warriors she scored 21 and against Roswell she scored 22.

Week 7 Coach of the Week: William Benjamin of Las Cruces

High School: Las Cruces

Impressive Feat: William Benjamin and the Las Cruces Bulldawgs entered 2014 with a record of 3-6, but turned it up in early January with two monster wins in week 7. On Friday Night they beat No. 1 ranked Hobbs by 8 and then beat Clovis the following night by 10 on Saturday night. The Bulldawgs have one of the best duo's in the state in JT Romeny and Malik Woods.

Week 7 Boys Player of the Week: Gabe Chavez

High School: Bosque Prep High School
Graduation Year: 2015
Votes Count: 26%

Stat Line: Just a junior from the Class of 2015, Chavez out of Bosque Prep is averaging 13.6 points per game, but last week against Tucumcari he scored 19 points and pulled down 20 boards in a 1 point win over Tucumcari.

Week 7 Girls Player of the Week: Natalie Zamora

High School: St. Pius X
Graduation Year: 2015
Votes Count: 38%

Stat Line: The 5-foot-5 guard out of St. Pius X is one of the best Class of 2015 prospects in New Mexico. Last week in a double overtime win against Roswell, Zamora scored an outstanding 29 points to pick up a critical win. The Sartans are now 7-1 this year.

Week 6 Coach of the Week: Travis Julian of Los Lunas

High School: Los Lunas
Votes: Staff Pick

Stat Line: The Tigers won the VFW Tournament last week defeating Eldorado, Carlsbad, and Alamogordo. That is three quality wins over 5A programs. Coach Travis Julian has proven he can win at the 5A and 4A level.

Week 6 Boys Player of the Week: Ryan Jones of Cleveland

High School: Cleveland High School

Stat Line: For the second week in a row, the Premium Members of NMPreps.com have selected Cleveland Junior Ryan Jones as the Player of the Week. Jones scored an oustanding 37 points against Hobbs in a 79-77 loss.

Week 6 Girls Player of the Week: Tiege Zeller of Los Lunas

High School: Los Lunas High School

Stat Line: Zeller is an incredible basketball player, any coach in New Mexico would welcome her to their post game. She scored an oustanding 27 against Carlsbad. She is also one of the top blockers in the State of New Mexico.

Week 5 Coach of the Week: Brian Smith of Cleveland

High School: Cleveland High School

Stat Line: The Cleveland Storm have entered the party as a title contender for the 2014 season. They defeated Valley in a game that really was the statement of Week 5. Brian Smith continues to take this program to new heights.

Week 5 Boys Player of the Week: Ryan Jones of Cleveland

Stat Line: Jones led the Cleveland Storm to a monster win over Valley in Week 5 and scored 26 in the win. Jones is only a junior and quickly one that is rising on the NMPreps.com Mr. Basketball Watch List.

Week 5 Girls Player of the Week: Danni Williams of Clovis

High School: Clovis High School

Stat Line: Williams has been outstanding all season long and continues to put up impressive game after impressive game. She scored 25 against Canyon, Texas.

Week 4 Coach of the Week: Britt Cooper of Roswell

High School: Roswell High School

Stat Line: The Coyotes won the City of Champions Tournament in Artesia, New Mexico defeating Carlsbad, Goddard, and Artesia. The Coyotes are ranked No. 1 in the NMPreps.com latest basketball rankings with a 6-0 record.

Week 4 Boys Player of the Week: Bryan Medina of Highlnad

High School: Highland High School
Graduation Year: 2014

Stat Line: Medina, a senior at Highland High School scored an outstanding 72 total points and had 30 rebounds during the Joe Armijo Tournament. He was named overall MVP of the Tournament.

Week 4 Girls Player of the Week: Danni Williams of Clovis

Stat Line: Williams continues her huge season by scoring 73 points in wins over Lovingotn, Onate, Hobbs, and Roswell. Her 18.25 average over the course of the last 5 days is clearly player of the week worthy.

Week 3 Coach of the Week: Mike Smith of Hobbs

High School: Hobbs High School

Stat Line: The Eagles are off to a (6-0) start and looking stronger than ever. It will be a huge season if the Eagles continue the early season success. The Eagles will head up north to play in Santa Fe this coming week.

Week 3 Player of the Week: Chris Martin or Academy

High School:Albuquerque Academy
Graduation Year: 2014

Stat Line: The big man putting in double-doubles and powered the Chargers to an upset win over the then No. 1 team Sandia High School during week three. In that contest he put up 34-points and 10-rebounds.

Week 2: Coach of the Week: Dominic Romero of Gallup

High School: Gallup High School
Votes: 6 (out of) 37.50%

Stat Line: The unranked Gallup Bengals hit the road in week one and had the first major upset of the season as the Bengals beat 4A's No. 1 team Albuquerque Academy (then No. 9 NMPreps.com Top-25). The Bengals overachieved in week one and could be a big early season dark horse..again.

Week 2 Player of the Week: Adam Cumber of Sandia

High School: Sandia High School
Graduation Year: 2014
Votes: 6 (out of 32) 18.75%

Stat Line: The guard went for 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists last week in a win over Albuquerque High Bulldogs. The No. 1 Sandia Matadors moved to (1-0).

Week 2: Coach of the Week: Matt King of Clovis

High School: Clovis High School

Stat Line: The Clovis Wildcats (1-0) got a big opening night win over a then Top-10 ranked Rio Rancho Rams (0-2). The Wildcats lost a lot of talent to get a big win like this during week two.

Week 1 Player of the Week: DJ Casados of Santa Fe Prep

High School: Santa Fe Prep
Graduation Year: 2014
Votes: 4 (out of 11) 36.35%

Stat Line: The 5-foot-11 senior guard is averaging 17 points per game, 3 assists and 3 rebounds per contest. Casados has also led the Blue Griffins to an impressive (2-0) start with wins over Bosque and Mesa Vista.
