FIELD OF DREAMS - LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO - Thursday Night, August 28th the Las Cruces Bulldawgs rolled to a 44-18 win over El Paso Montwood. The Class 5A two time defending state champ looked impressive jumping to a 37-6 lead at the half.
In-fact Las Cruces out gained the Rams 297-83 in yardage during the first half. The Dawgs jumped to a 44-6 lead before Montwood scored a few late touchdowns to make it a bit more respectable final of 44-18. On the night, Las Cruces was led by Junshiro Molinar who ran for over 100-yards, two touchdowns, and had an interception on defense.
Kameron Miller threw for over 100-yards and two touchdowns, Isaiah McIntyre scored a touchdown, Aeneas Reynolds returned an interception for a touchdown (all this was in the first half). Las Cruces is now 24-2 since 2012 and will host the La Cueva Bears next weekend.
"We came to town, they were hitting tonight, we mixed up our coverage, we gotta give 10 new guys on defense a lot of credit tonight, " Said Head Las Cruces Coach Jim Miller.
