ALBUQUERQUE -- The New Mexico Lobos held their annual New Mexico High School Football Camp this weekend at University Stadium. Today we recap a few prospects who stood out. The prospects are listed in the order we saw them and not specific player rankings.

Very dynamic defensive back/athlete that will be a legit 4.4/4.5 guy this year as a senior. Very dangerous playmaker, watched him take a kick to the house last year.
3
QB
Gabe Ortega
Rio Rancho (N.M.) Cleveland
Will take over at quarterback this year. Anything within the 20-yard range is thrown on a dime. Great athlete, one of the best junior prospects in New Mexico.
4
RB
Ethan Gifford
Albuquerque (N.M.) Sandia
Sandia always has good talent in the backfield and this year it looks like Gifford will be the guy that emerges as we move forward. He has great shake ability.
5
LB
Mitchell Cantwell
Albuquerque (N.M.) La Cueva
" width="640" height="370">
First time we were able to see Cantwell this summer and he looks the part of a next level linebacker. At 6-foot-2 and a stout 235 pounds, Cantwell made plays and overall looked as expected.
6
WR/DB
Jesse Garcia
Albuquerque (N.M.) La Cueva
Really impressed today at 7-On. He made some big plays on both sides of the football. Like him at WR, but loved him on the defensive side of the ball.
7
ATH
Charles Countee
Albuquerque (N.M.) Manzano
Seen Charles in back to back days with us previewing Manzano on Thursday. On Friday, we watched the rising Class of 2015 prospect haul in touchdown after touchdown. Tough match up in one-on-one coverage.
8
WR
Marcus Williams
Rio Rancho (N.M.) Cleveland
Another rising Class of 2016 prospect that has next level talent written all over him. At 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, Williams has great hands. Him and Ortega are going to be quite the duo this year.
9
QB
Tyrelle Jackson
Albuquerque (N.M.) Del Norte
Going to be one of the top dual threat quarterbacks in New Mexico this year. Last year at the NMPreps.com Elite Combine Jackson ran a 4.5 40-time. Though Del Norte likes to grind it out, Jackson can spin it and showed it at Lobo Camp.
10
ATH
Thomas Vieira
Albuquerque (N.M.) La Cueva
Great two-way player that will make a name for himself this year at La Cueva. Made some big plays on defense today and including a clutch interception against Valley.
11
ATH
Jordan Valesquez
Albuquerque (N.M.) Valley
Will take over at quarterback replacing Bo Coleman. Dynamic athlete on both sides of the football. Very good defensvie back.
12
RB
Riccie Alvidrez
Albuquerque (N.M.) Atrisco Heritage
Atrisco Heritage has some very, very fast prospects returning including 2,000-yard back Ricci Alvidrez. Super dangerous with the football. One of the best in New Mexico.
