This and That

Tier of their own: Rio Rancho, Carlsbad and Cleveland. The three teams look impressive this season and Rio Rancho-Cleveland played in a tough game Thursday, with the Rams taking the win. Rio Rancho took the edge and knocked off our Week 4 number one ranked team.

Underrated: Piedra Vista. At 9-2 on the season we are starting to question our preseason ranking having them as far back as we did. They could (maybe should) be in the conversation with the top-4. They'll have their day as they play in the district with Rio Rancho and Cleveland and able to prove why we were wrong. The 6-1 win over Albuquerque Academy was impressive on Thursday night.

Even More Underrated?: La Cueva. The Bears were ranked 6th in our week four Rankings. To most that would be great to be ranked and 6th. However, we feel that we could be undervaluing the Bears and shouldn't have. We can't even answer the reason we dropped them after having them high in the preseason. The Bears now get to prove us even more wrong as they face Rio Rancho for the APS Metro Championship on Friday.

Goddard 'an den'?: We all watched the classic (not classic) movie Dude, Where's My Car?, right? Okay, maybe not but the Goddard Rockets seem to be sitting at the top and maybe that will never change. However, we are sort of walking around the streets looking for our contenders tier (Goddard is alone in the favorites tier). St. Pius X and Albuquerque Academy are our highest valued teams for the argument but we await the dominance factor to say they will upset Goddard.
