Quarterback MVP - Kaleb Hatch - El Paso Franklin

Notes: Hatch won the Quarterback MVP Award for a second year in a row. He’s improved tremendously on arm strength since last year. At 6-foot-3, 188 pounds Hatch put the ball on he money several times and his deep ball was superb. Second in this conversation was Cleveland Quarterback Angelo Trujillo who had a monster night, more to come regarding quarterbacks as it was a deep talent pool.

Running Back MVP - Josiah Fielder - Onate

Onate Running Back Josiah Fielder out of Onate High School impressed all night long and his testing numbers as well as his on the fielder ability has us believing that he is a true next level guy. At 5-foot-10, 168 pounds Fielder ran a 4.59 40-time, 4.15 shuttle, had a broad jump of 9-feet-0 inches, and ripped 185 pounds 23 times.

Receiver MVP - Gaven Swinson - Mayfield

Swinson who committed to the New Mexico State Aggies recently blew the roof off at the event earning the top receiver award along with being named the camp overall MVP. He sliced up the comp in one-on-one’s and testing wise he ran a 4.57 40-time, 4.31 shuttle, and had a broad jump of 10-feet-1/2 inches. At 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, Swinson likely isn’t done with the recruiting process.

Offensive Linemen MVP - Corey Perez - Rio Rancho

There were plenty of solid offensive linemen at the event as expected, but no one expected 5-foot-6, 251 pound Corey Perez out of Rio Rancho to walk away with the offensive linemen award. Great feet, strong, dominating during the one-on-one’s, he had the crowd hyped a few times winning some match ups, size wise you would not think he would of won.

Defensive Linemen MVP - Tyrell Clewis - Clovis

Clewis joins former Wildcat Star Dijon Ford in being a Clovis Wildcat to walk away the Defensive Linemen MVP. At 5-foot-10, 220 pounds Clewis was very aggressive, tough to stop, great motor, and always found a way to get to the tackling dummy. He also had 27 reps of 185 pounds which was among tops at the event.

Linebacker MVP - Forest McKee - Onate

Where are the D1 Offers at for Forest McKee? Seriously, while he has a New Mexico State offer on the table, this young man should currently be recruiting by mid-major schools across the country, he’s that good. At 5-foot-11, 225 pounds he moves fantastic, is the biggest competitor on the field, and is an outstanding person. His numbers: 28 reps of 185 pounds, 4.54 40-time, 4.25 shuttle, and a broad jump of 9-feet-1 inch. Those are unreal numbers for someone his size.

Defensive Back MVP - Christian Brewster - Los Lunas

Another solid prospect out of Los Lunas High School is Christian Brewster who held his own against some very high caliber receivers. At 5-foot-7, 151 pounds Brewster benched 185 pounds an impressive 16 times, ran a 4.28 shuttle, and had a broad jump of 8-feet-9 inches. In man coverage during the one-on-one’s coaches were very impressed with his playmaking ability.

Top Junior MVP - Jordan Byrd - Manzano

Byrd was expected to be one of the top overall athletes coming into the event and he again exceeded expectations on the field. The Class of 2018 Prospect who has already been offered by New Mexico checked in at 5-foot-7, 165 pounds and did straight work Friday Night. He was incredible during one-on-one’s at receiver, making some of the cleanest cuts we’ve ever seen. Testing wise, wow. He benched 16 reps of 185 pounds, ran a blazing 4.31 40-time, 4.29 shuttle, and jumped 10-feet-1 inch on broad jump.

Overall Combine MVP - Gaven Swinson - Mayfield

Swinson who committed to the New Mexico State Aggies recently blew the roof off at the event earning the top receiver award along with being named the camp overall MVP. He sliced up the comp in one-on-one’s and testing wise he ran a 4.57 40-time, 4.31 shuttle, and had a broad jump of 10-feet-1/2 inches. At 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, Swinson likely isn’t done with the recruiting process.
