Mr. Football Is Headed To New Mexico State

Rio Rancho, New Mexico - Josh Foley won a State Championship with the Rio Rancho Rams, then the top-rated running back in Class 6A was named New Mexico Mr. Football. Today, Foley announced officially he's headed to New Mexico State.

Foley had a monster year for the Rio Rancho Rams rushing for 1,872-yards (10.1 yards per carry) and 30 touchdowns. Foley also caught for 352-yards and 5 touchdowns, and one 99-yard pick-six. His total touchdown count on the year was 38.

"I am thrilled for Josh and our program. These awards are due to many moving parts but Josh is something special. He deserves every ounce of this success. We are proud of him!" Said Rio Rancho Head Football Coach David Howes on Foley in an early article.

Foley joins Matt Young of Onate, Gaven Swinson of Mayfield, and Trevor Brohard of Los Lunas, each have chosen to play for the Aggies from the Class of 2017.

In total 9 New Mexico high school prospects from the Class of 2017 will be signing with D1 programs next Wednesday, February 1st.
