Fresh off winning the annual J. May Classic Basketball Tournament, the Lordsburg Mavericks are now 7-0 on the season entering week 5. On the year the Mavericks have key wins over Cobre, Cliff, Santa Rosa, and Tularosa. During the J. May Classic Bradnon Strain, Johnny Plowman, Raymond Saucedo, were each named to the All-Tournament Team along with Jacob Esquivel who was named the overall MVP. The Mavericks will take on Animas on December 18th, then host their annual Maverick Stampede during January 7th, 8th, and 9th and will also be competing in the Cuba Invitational during mid January.
