Changes to Football, Basketball Calendars Overwhelmingly Approved
Albuquerque, N.M. -- When Jordan Byrd visited San Diego State earlier this year, he sensed an unbreakable bond developing between himself and the Aztecs coaching staff.
In fact, the connection was so strong Byrd went ahead and committed to San Diego State late Tuesday afternoon shortly before taking the field for Manzano’s final appearance in the Metro Passing League.
“The reason I picked San Diego State was the chemistry I had with the coaches and my (future) teammates,” Byrd told NMPreps.com Tuesday night. “When I went out there, I fell in love with the team and the city. My parents did too, so it was the right choice for me.”
