MPL: Trujillo looks in mid-season form; Manzano plays cards close to chest
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Cleveland quarterback Angelo Trujillo caught the snap, took a couple of quick steps backwards and fired a dart over the middle between three Eldorado defenders directly into the waiting hands of a Storm receiver, who caught the ball in stride and raced untouched into the end zone.
If there was any moment from Tuesday night’s Metro Passing League trumpeting Trujillo’s stunningly rapid return from his serious knee injury (torn ligaments) suffered seven months ago in early November, that was the one.
