QBs excel in Rio Rancho-Eldorado 7-on-7 battle; Banks talks SD State pledge

RIO RANCHO, N.M. – Rio Rancho Rams senior quarterback Logan Bruere demonstrated Wednesday that his encouraging performance in the Metro Passing League in June was no fluke.

Bruere is uncannily accurate throwing the deep ball, as gritty Eldorado discovered again in a 7-on-7 matchup at Rio Rancho High School. Both of Bruere’s touchdown throws during the 30-minute game portion of the 90-minite session came from beyond 30 yards as he hit Rams receivers neatly in stride in the end zone.

“We threw the ball well and we caught well,” Rio Rancho coach David Howes said. “We gave up some plays and we made some plays. That’s what July is all about. Eldorado did the same thing.”
