Rio Rancho, New Mexico - The No. 1 seeded Rio Rancho Rams (12-0) will be going for their second Class 6A State Football Title in three seasons this Saturday when they take on the Las Cruces Bulldawgs Saturday in Rio Rancho at 1PM.

Rio Rancho won the State Football Title going 13-0 in 2014, last season the Cleveland Storm who are also from the City of Rio Rancho completed the perfect season going 13-0, the Rams of 2016 are not only trying to keep the Big School State Football Trophy in Rio Rancho, but also continue their dominating on the field presence.
This year through 12 games, Rio Rancho Coached by David Howes has outscored opponents 544-138 (average per game of 45-11). Their defense has forced two season shutouts and in their last two games have allowed just one touchdown.
On offense, they have been incredible having scored over 40 points over eight times this year, two weeks ago in the quarterfinal round they beat Onate 48-0, in the semifinals this past Saturday they routed Manzano 35-7.
Their offensive attack is powered by Senior Quarterback Nic Little and Senior Running Back Josh Foley. Little has passed for 1,767-yards (63%) with 22 touchdowns, Little has also rushed for 762-yards and 9 scores, that is 31 touchdowns this year.
5-foot-11, 185 pound running back Josh Foley who has proven that he's the State's Top 6A Running Back this season has rushed for 1,884-yards, 31 touchdowns, caught for 362-yards and 5 scores, and his per rush average is a mind blowing 10.24 per carry. In total, Foley has 38 touchdowns.
When you combine Little and Foley's offensive yards and touchdowns it calculates to 4,775-yards of total offensive yardage and 69 touchdowns.

Las Cruces, New Mexico - In his first year as Head Coach of Las Cruces High School, Mark Lopez is taking the Bulldawgs (11-1) to the State Football Championship Game next weekend. Lopez was named the Head Football Coach before the 2016 season after longtime Head Coach Jim Miller announced his retirement.
