La Cueva weathers two delays, growls early, often in win over West Mesa

RIO RANCHO, N.M. – Quarterback Angelo Trujillo was back on the field, and so was Cleveland’s efficient and productive passing attack.

But it was the Storm’s opportunistic and aggressive defense that fueled Friday night’s convincing 42-12 victory over Centennial at Lightning Bolt Stadium, stopping the Hawks three times in the red zone and scoring on a 80-yard fumble return in the first half alone.
