Week 3 of the New Mexico High School football season is upon us with another solid slate of games topped by a Class 6A showdown at Rio Rancho between two of the top four teams in the state. Here is a our Baker’s Dozen, the top 13 games of Week 3:
Game of the Week: Clovis at Rio Rancho (Fri. at 7 p.m.)
Going into the season, Rio Rancho and Clovis had question marks at the quarterback position. After two weeks, those concerns have mostly evaporated.
Logan Bruere of Rio Rancho and Brandt Davis of Clovis have gone about their jobs in different ways, but both are major reasons the Rams and Wildcats are 2-0 and currently ranked No. 2 and No. 4, respectively, in the weekly NMPreps Top 25 poll.
