New Mexico High School Baseball Season Preview and Rankings
January 30th is the official day for baseball in New Mexico High School athletics. Today, we take a look at the Top-15 rankings, players to watch and a few players that have made their college choice.

Top-15 (All Classifications)
The Carlsbad Cavemen open the 2017 baseball as the number one ranked team in the state. That is likely not much of a surprise to the baseball world, they return after a 25-6 season that resulted in them winning the 2016 state championship in 6A baseball. The return players Trevor Rogers (2017/P-1B) and Nate Arrington (2018/P-OF) who are among the 25 prospect to watch this season.
Following the Cavemen will the Rio Rancho Rams who have a pair of prospects that make our pre-season Top-25 players watch in Bohdi Bolin (2017/P) and Garrett Gloudsmith (2017/SS). La Cueva Bears of Albuquerque will start the 2017 season as the third-ranked team they return after an 18-10 season and reaching the quarterfinals. They have a trio to watch that is led by Jonathan Stroman (2017/P).
Rounding out the top five spots in the NMPreps.com Top-25 is the Goddard Rockets at 4 and St. Pius X Sartans at number five. The Rockets return Cal Villareal (2017/OF) another must see prospect on our top-25 prospects to watch.
