Basketball Recruiting: Cibola's Isaac Maldonado Makes College Commitment

Isaac Maldonado of Cibola High School has made his college commitment and will be signing with Eastern New Mexico on Monday, May 23rd.

Here is the statement sent in by Marty Saiz who is a local State Farm Agent as well as a representative of the AAU Basketball Team the Danny Granger Hurricanes.

6'5" Isaac Maldonado, of Cibola High School will be signing his national letter of intent to play for Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds. Isaac is the first recruit from New Mexico to sign for new ENMU head coach, Tres Segler. The three year letterman was instrumental in the Cougars 23-6 season.


Isaac was on the 1st team All-District and 2nd team All-Metro teams. He is one of only 4 seniors in New Mexico to sign with a D1 or D2 university. Isaac was a member of the Danny Granger AAU Club for 4 years. He was one of 7 student-athletes to receive the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame scholarship.
