New Mexico has close to 40 high school players that are signed or verbally committed to play baseball at the college level, but none maybe better then Caleb Prentiss out of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

4/26/2013, a day to remember as Prentiss a Junior at Carlsbad and also a verbal commit to the New Mexico Lobos threw a perfect game in a 10-0 win over Clovis.
According to Ben Gibson, the Sports Editor at the Carlsbad Current-Argus, Prentiss 12 strike outs with no walks, and no hits. A true perfect game which happens only so often, especially at the high school baseball level.
Prentiss is ranked within the top 10 NMPreps.com Baseball Player Rankings and with his continued efforts dominating the mound, it's likely Prentiss ends the season as one of the top ranked players in New Mexico.
