Brian Trujillo - Offensive Linemen
Albuquerque (N.M.) Volcano Vista
Hendo's Notes: At 6-foot-4 and 258 pounds Trujillo is already getting next level interest from schools like Arizona and New Mexico among a few others. He posted 12 reps of 185 pounds at the 2013 NMPreps.com Combine and is a prospect that is on the rise in New Mexico.
Isaiah McIntyre - Athlete
Las Cruces (N.M.)
Las Cruces has so many weapons during the 2013 State Title Run and as a junior McIntyre at 5-foot-10 and 164 pounds was a pure play-maker. He ran a 4.60 40-time at the 2013 NMPreps.com Elite Combine and benched 185 pounds 15 times as just a junior. McIntyre is due for a huge senior season in 2014.
Justin Houghtaling - Quarterback
Artesia (N.M.)
You better write this name down early. A sure shot D-1 prospect in the next few years. Houghtaling comes from a very strong bloodline of college football players and will look to break onto the recruiting scene as a current sophomore this weekend. Artesia has had some big guns at Quarterback, Houghtaling looks like the next one.
Kameron Miller - Quarterback
Las Cruces (N.M.)
How many sophomore quarterbacks have won the 5A football state title? Miller is one of the few and is one of the top rated returning prep prospects in New Mexico out of the Class of 2016. He threw for over 2,000-yards, has good size at 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds. Benched 185 pounds 14 times as just a sophomore last year, also ran a 4.4 shuttle time.
Kavika Johnson - Quarterback
Las Cruces (N.M.) Mayfield
Johnson will play college football, it's just a matter of where. The Class of 2015 Prospect will be a three year starter at quarterback for one of the top football programs in New Mexico once we kick off 2014. He is a dual threat quarterback who throws great on the run, the No. 2 rated QB in New Mexico after Zach Gentry from Eldorado. Led his team to the 2013 5A State Championship Football Game.
Mitchell Cantwell - Linebacker
Albuquerque (N.M.) La Cueva
Cantwell is the top linebacker in New Mexico entering the 2014 season. The Class of 2015 Prospect is gaining interest from schools like Arizona and San Diego State. He is 6-foot-2, 220 pounds and ran an impressive 4.8 40-time at the NMPreps.com Elite Combine and posted 17 reps of 185 pounds. Top Football Prospect La Cueva has had in years.
Parker Johnson - Athlete
Ruidoso (N.M.)
Few come around like Parker Johnson. The Class of 2014 Prospect will be the top overall football player at the 3A level entering the 2014 season. Last year at the NMPreps.com Elite Combine he ran a 4.4 shuttle time and benched 185 pounds 24 times. He accounted for over 20 touchdowns last year and more than 2,000 all purpose yards. Also, a 4.0 student athlete in the classroom.
Ray Garza - Athlete
Albuquerque (N.M.) Cibola
At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds Garza had a solid junior year at receiver for the Cougars. He ran a 4.8 40-time and had an impressive vertical jump. Should be their red-zone threat this year.
Sam Garcia - Linebacker/Quarterback
Albuquerque (N.M.) Cibola
Garcia at 6-foot-0 and 200 pounds will be the Cougars new quarterback for the 2014 season replacing Derek Martinez. Garcia played a ton of positions from kicker to quarterback to linebacker, etc. He is a great athlete and a rising prospect in 2015.
