Bernalillo 103, Hope Christian 92, OT
The Hope Christian Huskies took on the Bernalillo Spartans on Friday night in a Joe Armijo Classic consolation bracket game and it was the short handedness of the Huskies that paged them down the stretch as Hope Finished the Game with only four players. Brandon Saiz led the Charge for the Spartans and helped lead his team to victory.

Clovis 53, Manzano 51, OT
The Clovis Wildcats took on the Manzano Monarchs in a top tier Friday Night matchup. The Wildcats would be tested by the Monarchs and the game would eventually go into overtime. A late go ahead 3 pointer by the Cats senior guard John Dawson gave Clovis the lead and the win. Dawson Finished with 19 points for the Cats. 
Roswell 73, Carlsbad 50
The Roswell Coyotes faced off against the Carlsbad Cavemen in a southern showdown at the Bulldog Pit in Artesia New Mexico on Friday Night. The Coyotes played like the favorite to win it all on the night as they were able to dispatch the Cavemen easily due to great rebounding and stifling defense. Leading the way for the Coyotes was Junior Cesar Nava and the Sophomore sensation Alex Olesinski, also contributing was Anthony Olguin.  
Artesia 42, Goddard 40
The Artesia Bulldogs took on the Goddard Rockets in a classic matchup the City of Champions has seen time and time again and the battle was once again a nail bitter down the stretch. Artesia managed to pull things out down the stretch and achieve the victory.
Lovington 52, Moriarty 47 OT
The Lovington Wildcats took on the Moriarty Pintos on Friday night in the the City of Champions 2nd round as the Lovington Wildcats took on the Moriarty Pintos in a matchup that had to go into overtime to help decide the victory. Lovington ended up advancing due to good ball control and a few key Moriarty turnovers late in the game that would end up sending the Wildcats to the Free Throw line where they would eventually ice the game. Lovington and coach Chris Brattain had a great showing on the night and have impressed at the tournament so far looking like a clear cut top team in 3A at this point. 
Rio Rancho 85, Mayfield 40
The Rio Rancho Rams took on the Mayfield Trojans in a lopsided affair on Friday night as the Rams would end up cursing to the win with ease. THe rams led 39-27 at the break and they would never look back. Leading the way for the Rams was Jeremy Swafford who had a game high 33 points. 
Gallup 52, Farmington 46
The Gallup Bengals took on the Farmington Scorpions on Friday night in the 2nd round of the Marv Sanders Invitational and it was the Bengals who would end up pulling away down the stretch thanks to good defense, and solid rebounding. Leading the way offensively for the Bengals was Darren Spencer who had 21 points. Gallup advance to the Championship game against EP Montwood. 
Montwood TX 75, Piedra Vista 27
The Montwood Rams would take on the Piedra Vista Panthers on friday night and would end up with a 75-27 drubbing over the Panthers the Rams would pul ahead and never look back. For Piedra Vista Troy Dixon was the high scorer with 8 points. Anthony Davis lead Montwood with a game huh 16 points. 
Shiprock 76, San Juan Utah 68
The Shiprock Chieftans took on San Juan Utah on Friday night at the Marv Sanders invitational, The Chieftans would pull ahead and maintain the lead for the duration of the game, Leading the way for the Chieftans was Patdric Toehe and Hiram Gleason who both had a productive night offensively pouring in 22 points.

Girls Basketball Recaps: December 14th 2012
Volcano Vista 52, Onate 40
The Volcano Vista Lady Hawks faced off against the Onate Lady Knights on Friday Night as the Lady Hawks were able to come away with the win thanks to a team high 14 points from Raven Herrera. The Hawks will take on Hope Christian in the Championship round of the Joe Armijo Classic.
Hope Christian 67, Los Lunas 54
The Hope Christian Lady Huskies faced off against the Los Lunas Lady Tigers in some 2nd round action, of the Joe Armijo Classic. The matchup featured two top tier teams in women's hoops but it was the Huskies who came away with the win thanks to a total team effort and it's the first loss of the year for the lady Tigers. Hope will play for the tournament championship against Volcano Vista on Saturday.
Las Cruces 53, Santa Fe Indian 50
The Las Cruces lady Bulldawgs faced off against the Santa Fe Indian lady Braves in the 2nd round of the Moriarty Tournament. The lady Dawgs would come from behind to take the lead as time winded down. For Cruces the victory could be credited to Graizon Alaniz who ended up clinching the matchup with some late buckets to give the Lady Dawgs the lead.
Sandia 47, Valley 30
The Sandia Lady Matadors faced off agains the Valley Lady Vikings as the two team met on Friday Night and the Matadors pulled out the victory to remain undefeated at 7-0 on the year as Astrea Reed lead the Matadors to victory with a 18 point performance.
Cleveland 57, Albuquerque High 39
The Cleveland Storm Faced off against the Alb. High Lady Bulldogs on the night as the Storm were able to win fairly easily down the stretch as point Guard Karlue Peck had a game high 18 points on the night.
Lovington 48, Carlsbad 16
The Lovington Lady Wildcats Faced off against the Carlsbad Cavegirls on Firday night and it was clear that the Lovington Lady Wildcats are preparing for another serious run at the blue come March as they are looking in great shape so early in the season. The Lady Wildcats were bigger and more physical in the paint and the pressure defense cause problems for the Cavegirls all night. Offensively the lady Wildcats were rolling and once they got the lead they maintained it for the duration of the game.
Mayfield 53, Rio Rancho 38
The Mayfield Lady Trojans faced off against the Rio Rancho Lady Rams on Friday night of the Rio Rancho Tournament. The Trojans are now 9-0 on the season and will play Hobbs in the Championship of the Rio Rancho Tournament on Saturday. Leading the way for the Trojans was Daeshi McCants who had a game high 20 points and also contributing as Allie Pierce who had 10 of her own.
Roswell 52, Manzano 28
The Roswell Lady Coyotes faced off against the Manzano Monarchs as the Friday night matchup showed us that Roswell is yet again looking in top shape as they are preparing for a serious run come March.
