Q: What's the most points you've scored in a high school or AAU game and against who?
43 vs. Central High (AZ) this year.
Q: Would you say your 30-point effort in the State Championship last year was your best individual performance or would you say you've had a better game?
I would have to say so because it was the championship game.
Q: What's the best dunk you've ever had in a game?
Backwards but I got a better one coming.
Q: Which team do you most likely look forward to playing against when you look at your schedule?
It was probably Hobbs because I've always wanted play down there.
Q: You just recently announced that you are choosing to play college basketball and put away your football cleats. Is there a chance that you would consider trying to play both in college?
Nah, not at all. It's hard to do it in high school so it's probably way harder to do it in college.
Q: UNM was very interested in you last year, but with the departure of Ritchie McKay and the arrival of Steve Alford they are no longer recruiting you. Are there any other division I schools that are still looking at you and who?
New Mexico State but that's about it.
Q: Who is the best player you've ever played against and why?
I would say our assistant coach my 10th grade year, Nick Roberson. He went to Sanford.
With losing Noah Wolfe (Air Force Prep), Matt Churchman (ENMU), Daniel Steffensen (Otero JC), and Lawrence Chavez your team has had an inconsistent year.
Q: Do you think your team could put together a nice run going into State this year and why?
Yeah, I do because we haven't really been gettin' killed; we just can't put a full game together but we are gonna come around.
Q: Which college or NBA player do you think you resemble?
Allen Iverson because I'm small, quick, and can score and get steals.
Thanks for your time Marcus
