Jake Mattox - Valencia High School (4A)

Notes: In the 4A bracket, the 9-seed Valencia Jaguars avenged a loss from last season in the same match-up. This year the Jaguars on the road upset the 8-seed Taos, 64-60. Mattox dropped 28 points in the win for the Jaguars. Continue on here

Kiiyani Anitielu - Farmington High School (5A)

Notes: The Farmington Scorpions traveled to Albuquerque and upset the 7-seed Sandia Matadors. Anitielu is known for her scoring abilities and she put in 38 points to help guide her team into the quarterfinals. Continue reading here.
