Eastern New Mexico University hosted its annual Passing League on Friday in Portales. The A Division consisted of some of the best known and historically successful programs in the state of New Mexico - Artesia, Cleveland, Clovis and Hobbs. Roswell, Portales and Amarillo Tascosa also competed. Cleveland ultimately triumphed, rising from the No. 6 seed to win the single elimination playoff with three successive victories.

When pool play was over, the teams were seeded No. 1 through No. 7 and the single elimination bracket competition began. Cleveland beat Clovis, Hobbs and Roswell on the way to capturing the ENMU Passing League title.
