St. Michael's 43, Centennial 35
The St. Michael's Horsemen won their 20th game in a row on Saturday in a 43-35 win over Centennial. The game was tied 21-21 at half. Centennial went up 28-21 after a Daniel Conklin touchdown to put Centennial up by 7. The Horsemen nearly returned the ensuing kick return for a touchdown. Daniel Ortega scores to make it 28-27, time out, Horsemen going for two. Successful PAT to make it 29-28 Horsemen with 6:00 left in the game. Horsemen defense comes up with a huge stop, score quickly again to make it 36-28. Ortega then gets a pick 6 to make it 43-28 (Daniel Ortega scored 5 touchdowns on the day) with 1:16 left. Centennial scores to make it 43-35, gets onside, and throw a hail mary with 3 seconds left. Horsemen move to 7-0 on the season, Centennial drops to 4-2.
