Moriarty held a 10-7 lead over Bernalillo, and then the wheels fell off for the Pintos. The Spartans erupted with a 18-0 scoring run that extended into the second quarter. The Bernalillo defense kept Moriarty off the board over the last 4:24 of the first and the first minute of the second. Sebastian Giron ended the run for Bernalillo with a bucket but the damage had already been done. For the game Moriarty just struggled to score, shooting just 21% and had no answer for the big guys down low of Bernalillo. Solomon Fragua and Mariano Lobato each posted double-doubles and they owned the paint on both ends of the floor. Bernalillo never looked back following their big run and easily went on to win 61-39. With the win we now get Bernalillo vs. Hope Christian. Terry Darnell vs. Jim Murphy. Tomorrow's 4A championship game will be something special!
