OVERALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: GAVIN HARDISON, HOBBS
Gavin Hardison had an incredible night passing for 622-yards and 7-touchdowns as the Hobbs Eagles upset Artesia during week-2. The Eagles improve their record to 1-1 on the season and ranked in the Top-10 for the first time this season. Hardison, a top-5 quarterback in the state has solidified his ranking after that performance.
NORTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK: ANTONIO GABALDON, ST. MICHAEL'S
The Horseman are the champs of Santa Fe after a convincing win over Capital High School on Saturday afternoon. Horseman quarterback Antonio Gabaldon had an impressive showing with 329-yards and 5-touchdowns. The Horsemen are ranked second in 4A football with a 2-0 record.
SOUTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK: DOMINICK DOZAL, SANTA TERESA
The Desert Warriors moved to 2-0 on the season with a trip to Santa Fe and win over Santa Fe High School. Dozal rushed for over 300-yards and 5-touchdowns in the win on Friday night.
SMALL SCHOOL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: FREDDY CARRILLO, JAL
One of the top nominees from small school football was the quarterback from Jal in Freddy Carrillo. Carrillo rushed for 247-yards and a pair of touchdowns in week 3 for the Panthers.
