2013-2014 Breakdown

OVERVIEW: Head coach Devon Manning had the Bobcats playing well but they didn't score the ball well last season only averaging around 47 points per contest. They had a heavy focus on the big men in the paint and this season they will have help/experience in the backcourt to hopefully help them score more points. Junior point guard Ray Sanchez (2015) returns and will be the catalyst to get the team going - all 5'2" of him. He his tiny but he can get the Bobcats moving the ball well.

BACKCOURT:
Like stated above the Bobcats did not have a high scoring offense or major weapons in the backcourt last season. Ray Sanchez returns with plenty of veterans coming back to the Bobcats roster. They didn't graduate much from the guard position and could likely be the strength of the team. Damian Duran (5-11 guard/2014) is another one to keep an eye on that will contribute to the backcourt for the Bobcats.
FRONTCOURT:
The Bobcats had some "wealth" in the frontcourt the past two seasons and will look for another player with eperience to take over the leadership in the frontcourt. Ryan Johnson (6-0 post/2014) looks to take on the role as the man in the middle for the 'Cats. He will have some help with 6-foot-1 Tyler Baker (2015) helping in the paint.
SCHEDULE ANALYSIS:
Bloomfield played an average schedule last season fueled by 4A teams (from their previous District) along with teams from Colorado and Utah. It's hard to judge when they square off with out-of-state teams but the Bobcats played extremely well against teams from the Northwest section of the state. They also attend the St. Michael's tournament that gives them quality opponents like St. Michaels, Silver and Robertson.
FORECAST/REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS:
Honestly, the Bloomfield administration made one of the better hires last off-season bringing in Manning and he could play spoiler in his second season. They had plenty of young inexperienced sophomores on the roster last season that could be on the rise this season. They will likely be in the battle for the District Championship once again and could look to be a lower seed this season.
