Up North in Rio Rancho, NM a load of teams will travel to play at either RRHS or the new Cleveland High school. It is one of the biggest regular season tournaments New Mexico has ever had and even though it's a very young tournament it produces great teams and match ups.

This year the current number one team in the land onate knights travel up north with city partners mayfield and bulldogs from LC High here too. Host Cleveland High has a tough round one match up in El Paso Coronado led by a duo in Matt Usevitch and Robert Pound who both average 17 a game. The field in Rio has from out of state- Randall Texas, Fairfax, South Mountain out of Arizona and Franklin El Paso.
Hailing and trying to protect NM we have some top ten teams in Mayfield, Onate, Las  Cruces, Hope Christain, Gallup, Espaonla, and Santa Teresa each from their respected classes. Also, a first round match up between Moriarty and Rio co host Rio Rancho High.
One man you might want to watch from Randall Texas is Trey Ingram who can fly high above the iron with nice throw downs. He is averaging around twenty points a game.

Hardwood's Champion Pick
Picking a champion out of this group of squads will be harder than taking my Christmas lights on a cold nm day. It will be good game after good game each day. But if I have to pick I stay in the land of enchantment with the Huskies of Hope
