2016 Early Outlook: Unlike its new district foe in the Alamogordo Tigers the Deming Wildcats enter 5A football with some uncertainty. The Wildcats finished the season at 4-6 without a playoff birth and they graduate a star athlete. The expectations will be higher with the drop to 5A even though they had success last season, better than advertised, however the eligibility of Dante Urrea has expired after a 1,261-rushing, 623-passing, 98-receiving and 20-touchdown season.
