MR. NEW MEXICO (OVERALL POY): ROWDY ROBINSON, BELEN HIGH SCHOOL
The first overall player of the week - Mr. New Mexico - goes to Rowdy Robinson of the Belen Eagles. Robinson, had 5-sacks in the big win over Farmington during week three. Robinson finished with 7-total tackles as the Eagles improve to 3-0 and in the Top-10 for NMPreps.com Top-25 Rankings.
NORTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK: ISAAC TORRES, CLEVELAND HIGH SCHOOL
A close race for the North player of the week goes to Isaac Torres after rushing for 244-yards in an win over then number one ranked Las Cruces Bulldawgs. The Cleveland Storm improve to 2-1 on the season.
SOUTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK: MATT SMITH, MORIARTY HIGH SCHOOL
Matt Smith and the Moriarty Pintos earned a big win over St. Michael's, who was ranked number two in 4A football last week. Smith rushed for 210-yards and 4-touchdowns during the win. The Pintos improve to 3-0 on the year.
SMALL SCHOOL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: JUDE SEGURA, FORT SUMNER
Fort Sumner moves to 3-0 on the season behind another stellar performance from Jude Segura who passed for 330-yards and 4-touchdowns. Segura was 20-25 on the night in the win.
WEEK 3 ALL-NEW MEXICO TEAM
Each week we will pick 13-players for our All-New Mexico team. If a player is announced on the All-New Mexico team they will earn a vote for the top awards at the end of the season along with the most prestigious award the New Mexico Mr. Football Award.
