Baker's Dozen: Week 8 headliner features No. 1 team on road at Clovis

Week 8 of the New Mexico High School football season is here and the schedule is highlighted by a battle involving the No. 1 team in the state traveling to one of the toughest environments anywhere. Will they pass the test? Here is our Baker's Dozen, the best 13 games of the week:

Game of the Week: Manzano (7-0) at Clovis (3-3)

Manzano coach Chad Adcox is jacked.

Few towns in New Mexico offer a better ‘Friday Night Lights’ type high school football environment than Clovis. Maybe Artesia, but the list is short indeed.

Manzano defends its No. 1 ranking in the NMPreps Top 25 poll and looks to take another step towards securing the top overall seed for the Class 6A playoffs when they travel to Clovis Friday for a District 2-6A clash at Leon Williams Field.
