Awards: Top 20 Players from Week 7
The week seven NMPreps.com/Tate Branch All-New Mexico Awards. Each week we will award an overall player of the week along with a North/South Player of the Week.
Mr. New Mexico (Overalll POW): Mason Caperton (Eunice High School)
Eunice quarterback Mason Caperton led the Cardinals to a win over previously number one ranked Capitan Tigers during week 7, 42-0. Caperton passed for 367-yards and 5-touchdowns in the win. The 5-foot-11, sophomore quarterback helped the Cardinals improve to (7-0) on the season and currently ranked number one in 3A football.
North Player of the Week: Deveyion Jackson (Manzano High School)
The Manzano Monarchs played in the biggest contest of the season and came out with the win improving to (7-0) on the season. Jackson, came up huge in the win with a pair of sacks and 3 tackles for loss.
South Player of the Week: Brennam Stewart (Ruidoso High School)
The Ruidoso Warriors moved along with ease during week-7 winning 54-0 over New Mexico Military Institute. The Warriors are 5-2 on the season with the win and ranked in the 4A top-10. Stewart, in limited action due to the mercy rule, rushed for 243-yards and 4-touchdowns in the win.

Angelo Trujillo - QB - Cleveland - 265-yards passing and three touchdowns.
Antonio Bustamante - QB - West Las Vegas - 124-yards rushing (5 carries) and 4-touchdowns.
Carlos Espinoza - Belen - 77-total yards and 2-touchdowns (1 receiving, 1 rushing). Also, 7 total tackles (2 solo).
Casey Perez - QB - Lovington - 269-yards passing and 3-touchdowns.
Chandler Carson - RB/LB - Hatch Valley - 56-yards rushing, 1 TD. 14 total tackles (10 solo).
Chase Chaloupek - RB - Las Cruces - 157-yards rushings and 4-touchdowns.
Chris Mejia - QB - Del Norte - 230-total yards (185 passing) and 5-total touchdowns (3 rushing).
Evan Cesareo - WR - Lovington - 114-yards receiving and 1 touchdown.
Gabe Ramirez - QB - West Mesa - three total touchdowns (2 rushing) in the win for West Mesa.
Israel Jaurequi - QB - Cobre - 100-yards passing and 1 touchdowns.
Jaykan Willis - QB - Carlsbad - 207-yards and two touchdowns. Also, passed for two touchdowns.
Justin Angel - WR - Socorro - 140-yards receiving and 2-touchdowns.
Kennedy Aleman - Las Cruces - Had a pair of interceptions in the win over Hobbs.
Matt Chavez - QB - Miaymura - 268-yards passing, 3 touchdowns passing. 40-yards rushing and one touchdown.
Nick Gomez - WR - Del Norte - 120-yards receiving and 2-touchdowns.
Saul Trujillo - RB - Hatch Valley - 240-yards rushing, 1 touchdowns and 43-yard FG.
Xavier Ivey-Saud - RB - Manzano - 140-yards rushing and 2-touchdowns.
