Today, we start to announce the winners of the New Mexico high school football awards. The awards are voted on by fans, media members and NMPreps staff.

2017 NM Quarterback of the Year - Gavin Hardison (Hobbs High School)

NMPreps.com is happy to announce the 2017 New Mexico Quarterback of the Year to Gavin Hardison of the Hobbs High School Eagles. The Eagles went 9-3 this season and played for the 6A State Quarterfinals.

Gavin Hardison had a season that will be remembered for many years when discussing New Mexico High School football. Hardison, finished the season with 5,347-passing yards with 59-touchdowns. The New Mexico Military Institute commit had four games with over 500-yards passing.
